Petrocelli is another.
was he the one who was building a house (but never got any higher than 4 rows of bricks?)I've seen the first episode of the US prisoner, but it failed on the following:
- It wasn't filmed in Portmeirion
- It didn't feature Patrick McGoohan
- No KAR120C
- No Rovers

The prisoner is one of if the best TV programme ever made.
This remake may be ok as a stand alone show( they seem to be able to make TV remakes far better than films) but they will never ever ever be able to be as subtle as some of teh story lines and not a hope in hell as getting the show anywhere near as Barking mad as teh origianl without smoking a ton of crack laced with LSD.
dem bones dem bones dem dry bones.

Can't see my Dad being impressed with an remake let alone American!
A few yrs ago parents went to see the original Prisoner set. Trouble was we were on honeymoon so Mum and Dad were taking care of our dog, when they got there no dogs allowed, Dad was a bit disappointed so much so he took a pic of the no dogs sign to show me . Which he than proceeded to do at about 2 other places they had the same prob with. (camping hol hand been planned a while, us having a dog and them offering to dogsit hadn't been so well planned!!)

I was a teenager back in the early 1980s when the series was repeated on Channel 4.Absolutely fantastic stuff, and miles better than most of the crap that was being shown on the telly in those days.
It left a big impression on me. I've visited Portmeirion several times and spent a weekend in one of the cottages in The Village. It really is a surreal place and well worth a visit if you have never been.
I still have an old Seven in the garage...
Be seeing you.
I'm off to Portmeiricon - the Prisoner convention held every year in Portmeirion the weekend after next.
My band (mod/psychadelic/soul type music) are filming our new single video there insipred by the Prisoner/Danger Man/general 60s spy type programmes, and playing a gig in the village hall. The convention types are lending us a weather balloon and a couple of Mini Moke taxis for the shooting. They're even using us as pawns in a game of human chess.
Very excited!!

Portmeirion is one of my favourite places in the world. If you have time, take some of the walks into the woods surrounding the village - there are some lovely glades and also a good place to get away from the tubby crowds who congregate by the ice cream shop. There are miles of paths to walk, and some Clough Williams-Ellis's follies are hidden out there. My band (mod/psychadelic/soul type music) are filming our new single video there insipred by the Prisoner/Danger Man/general 60s spy type programmes, and playing a gig in the village hall. That's not to say the ice cream shop is to be avoided - Cadwalladers ice cream is always worth a taste. Just if you go for a walk first, you feel like you have earned it!
