2 bloody intervals in less than 20 minutes bloody annoys me....
This pissed me off more than the show. Did feel sorry for the Army vet. Northern Ireland, Falklands and the Gulf and he is on the scrap heap. Something not right. I do agree he will have had time and warnings.

I do feel sorry for him, but despite being £30k in debt he still had a fairly recent looking apple laptop and a huge TV. I assume buying those didnt help....Did feel sorry for the Army vet. Something wasn't ringing true to me with regards to the army guy. Earlier in the program they said he had a 30% shared ownership of the house! however nearer the end they were saying he had a £700.00 a month mortgage to pay....
Yip. Re-mortgaged and spunked it on shiney apple laptops and 60 inch flat screens perhaps?GG89 said:

Wasn't it that the house was a 30/70 shared ownership with a housing association, and he was still having to pay rent for the HA's share. And, I think he said that his 30% was actually paid for.
Yeah this was it. Despite losing his share of the house to clear other debt, he still had to pay rent to the HA for their share. Paying rent on a property that you cant use must suck the big one. He did seem to be an emotional wreck, and losing the dog wouldn't have helped. If he has genuine health issues that prevent him from pulling a full time wage then this is where the benefits system should be working.

However it sounds like the debt came from inland revenue, so I guess he had tried to avoid paying his fair share of tax, not hard for someone who gets paid in cash most of the time. Maybe the benefit system should not step in and help him.If he has genuine health issues that prevent him from pulling a full time wage then this is where the benefits system should be working.
