Surely he will face a pretty serious charge for this?

A horrible scenario but unless it was self defence you can't go around administering your own punishment even in America I wouldn't have thought?

Imagine that scenario in here in the UK.

Similar outcome and no charge for father, or father incarcerated before he could say Jack Robinson?

Chief Chitwood "he was just acting like a dad". No charges. I like the yanks.

Not sure myself. I'm a dad of a young girl & I can't say I wouldn't do the same & I can't bring myself to judge this guy, but we have the rule of law for a reason. It's a moral dilemma if you look at it with a cold objective eye, but I'm not crying for the kiddy fiddler.

No need for a long established legal system then. Just dish it out yourself! Sounds like a recipe for anarchy to me.

End of the day it happened in the fathers house, I assume the US laws allow a minor to be protected by their parents?

Kiddie fiddler gets his comeuppance, whats not to like about the instant justice of this?

Call the police and make him a nice cup of tea? What would you do in that situation?

We are allowed to use reasonable force in our own homes here to defend a family member from an assault. Ignore those ridiculous Daily Mail comments about letting the paedo go and arresting the father.

So in that situation, you'd calmly ask the paedo to remove his cock from your child's arse and sit tight whilst you phone the police?

He'd probably need a cuddle too. He must have suffered some terrible trauma which forced him to carry out the act.

Interesting comments (link)

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/raymond-frolander-accu...

My take on it is he (father) was protecting his child from further harm. Like crime of passion. He could have killed the scum, he didn't. It was inside the child's home and father's property.

What would you do?
'Oh, carry on raping my child while I call the cops. Do you like your coffee white, with sugar?'

Here he would no doubt have been dragged off if he'd just restrained the scum, with the scum arguing he was the one that was assaulted.

"I didn't proceed to ask any questions Sir". smile

I'm actually surprised at how calm the father sounds.

What about ridiculous Mirror comments?
Vaughan Jones used reasonable force. What did he get for his trouble?

The police had no idea of what had happened and until they did they took both into custody. Once they knew they released him without charge.

Ah well, so be it, sounded like he was quite restrained to me, I mean, if he had guns in the house he could have used one of those...

Excellent, common sense shown by the yanks.

Something severely lacking in our law.

It sounds like you are permitting the child molester to go about doing as he pleases.

There's probably not a jury in the land who would find him guilty.
