Not single handedly responsible for transforming my 20's in to a much more interesting and enlightening experience, but the major contributor.
Rip Sasha.
“I, as a responsible adult human being, will never concede the power to anyone to regulate my choice of what I put into my body, or where I go with my mind. From the skin inwards is my jurisdiction, is it not? I choose what may or may not cross that border. Here I am the customs agent. I am the coastguard. I am the sole legal and spiritual government of this territory, and only the laws I choose to enact within myself are applicable”

David Nutt was removed from his position of Chaiman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs because he said this...
(1 serious adverse event every ~10,000 exposures).[1] In February 2009 he was criticised by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith for stating in the paper that the drug ecstasy was statistically no more dangerous than an addiction to horse-riding.

James Dellingpole has an interesting post on this also. Never had him down as a raver but it does make a lot of sense, IMO the rave scene created a lot of individualists with a libertarian bent (like me).

I missed the rave scene by a few years, but my many times experiencing ecstasy were some of the best experiences of my life and genuinely life changing in some ways.http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/06/...
