Many people seemed to think he was somehow the bad guy in all this and I'm sure they will show further negative feelings towards him but I'd say he's well within his rights to do this. The court will now decide whether he's due any compensation for the hassle this has caused him in terms of stress and the unwarranted character assassination which could affect his career and it'll hopefully draw a line under the whole fiasco for all concerned.

Do we think he has done it because Clarksons new job is lucrative? Not that i blame him, i'd probably do it aswell.
Bullying and harassment is serious, no one goes to work expecting to have this happen to them it really doesn't matter if the 'Boss' is rich and famous or just an avarage earning lower manager it should not happen. Bullying and harassment affects an individual and their home life and loved ones its just not acceptable.
I doubt if its because Clarkson has a new high paid job he is a high net worth individual anyway, these cases are always based on facts and not how much an individual can claim against the companies insurance (its rarely an individual that pays)

He's sat on this for a while.
Did he ever press charges for assualt? I thought he said he didn't want to to do that?
So he's not wanting a criminal conviction, just financial compensation?
You don't know what he wants, and Battered said "Appantly Tymon is still employed by the BBC. I hear he may presently be signed off sick". These cases can take months to come to a hearing ( as i know first hand) so you shouldn't jump to conclusions.Did he ever press charges for assualt? I thought he said he didn't want to to do that?

And there is no dispute that Clarkson was at fault as he admitted it:
Today's comments were the first interview he has given - and marked a return to the BBC - since he was sacked for punching producer Oisin Tymon in a row over a hot dinner during filming.
He told the Radio 2 show, hosted by Evans: 'It was my own silly fault so I can hardly complain.

Irish is a race now shouldn't it be nationality discrimination?
I also assume he is actually Irish. If so it is worrying you can now sue someone for calling you your nationality followed by a rude word. Back to the incident, Clarkson was obviously in the wrong but what sort of man goes to the hospital with a split lip...Seriously FFS.
