World War 3??

North v south Korea could spark a world war in my opinion. America has already planned a naval exercise with the south as a 'deterrent'. I think north Korea wouldn't hesitate to drop a few rounds personally. China sticks up for north, exchange of words then boom world war 3. Do you think it will ever get that far? Seems the world isn't happy unless there's a war going on!

China has no interest in war with the US. They couldn't really give a stuff about North Korea, so long as they don't have to absorb its people.

I'm not sure China will be that fussed, apart from the loss of face, if a nuclear power, with a nutty leader, right on their doorstep is distracted.

Just seems to me that America is pushing north Korea for a reaction. With these military exercises. The north publicly state that america is their enemy (it was written on there missiles when they changed emperors) so I think it wouldn't take much for them to let one off, America retaliating then china getting involved as there allies then before you know it world war 3 breaks out! Let's hope I'm wrong!

Russia are no longer communist allies so they will not support them and China would probably want a unified Korea, as it would become a bigger population to sell its consumer tat goods too.

As for North Korea they wouldn't last 5 days in a modern war. Badly equipped soldiers and poorly supplied with food. The only fat people in North Korea are Kim Il Jung and his obese offspring.

All the US needs to do is hijack the TV station transmissions and transmit western TV, full of great food, drink, culture, gadgets technology, films the works. It will stir the population held in a 1950s timewarp to rebel making any invasion easier.

I think you're right, although the sheer size of the NK army would ensure that the first few days were properly messy for all involved.

Just thinking about it, they could re-edit Independence Day as a rolling news story. Scare the NKs into submission as the world takes on and destroy aliens, they know they wouldn't stand a chance

China would likely kick up a fuss, but eventually it doesn't really care, and forget about north korea. South Korea will go in, then all of a sudden the US will 'decide' to aid SK.

What would escalate things though is if North Korea sends a nuclear device into Japan. Then just Japan may declare war against NK, with the US not wanting an Iraq or Vietnam mess again (or indeed another Korea) and then SK will undoubtedly declare war, with China likely joining North Korea's side to try and say 'look at us, we've got muscle'. Then if China declares war against SK, US then is stuck in an awkward dilemna.

I suspect Ron will have a 'heart attack' or hillwalking disaster soon.

World War III will break out when Pakistan falls to the Taliban. With nukes and a delivery system they'll do Tel Aviv just for chuckles. Then the Israelis will nuke Pakistan, for which the Iranians will nuke Israel again and possibly US forces in the Gulf. Which will lead to the Americans nuking Tehran which will probably led to the oil being turned off. Pakistan's nukes are unlikely to be reliable enough to nuke Israel. Iran doesn't have them on missiles yet.

A very intelligent man (Albert Einstein) once said that world war 3 will be fought with nuclear weapons and world war 4 will be fought with bow and arrows! i read somewhere there's enough nuclear weapons on this planet to destroy the earth several times over.

I have no idea whether he actually said it but read the quote from somewhere! if it wasn't for Albert Einstein nuckleur weapons wouldn't excist so he would of known the dangers of them.
