If it were not for public services pensions we might expect to see a hefty slice of pensions fund personnel out of the door. wink
Given that the vast majority of public sector pensions are unfunded schemes, on what basis do you make that comment.....?!

There may have been no austerity in your world, but perhaps ask a wider field of people before making such statements

.
Since 2010 how much has public spending reduced...?

Since 2007, working age benefits have increased by more than 22% whereas earnings have grown by just 14%.

It does suggest your 'wider field of people' can say what they like but their opinions may not be supported by the evidence...
Lets see these stat's, with time lines.

Suggest those that are claiming otherwise produce the relevant public spending stats.

The other stats were from Bloomberg today.

Listening to Boris Johnson's speech. What a bumbling, divisive idiot. (An amusing one, but bumbling and divisive). His world is London. If you don't live there, you don't count.
Lets build an airport in the middle of a bloody great big river! Just shows how out of touch these people are. Having said that the Tory toff likely had in mind the use of young unemployed kids to do the donkey work, work experience anybody!

I'm a bit of an expert in this sort of thing. Ever hear of how Hong Kong Airport was built?
Or Nagoya Centrair Airport, Japan?
Or Incheon International Airport, Korea?
Or Kansai International Airport (in Osaka)?

Are you saying that all the monthly contributions paid by the public employees is only ghost money. In which case the funding managers can remain as they are, lucky them eh!

If you don't understand the basics about public sector pensions, is this really an area you should be discussing?

The money doesn't go into a fund. How can there be a fund manager for a non-existent fund?

Most public sector pensions are paid for out of general taxation - current workers pay for current retirees. There is no "fund".

I think the word you are struggling with is Senior Manager. Not aware of any position that offers a post called 'Senior something'. Now she is an expert, and I'm immensely proud of her achievements, especially in such a drab and boring subject area.

Thanks for putting me straight, so the money is paid direct from taxation each month. When you say 'most' who are the exclusions?
