This does not explain Diwani's involvement though.

Off to South Africa for a trial, says the Judge:-

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-23432581

EDIT: that is a bit inaccurate, as the Judge still considers Mr Dewani unfit to plead.

Yes indeed. One can only wonder what "evidence" may emerge at trial.

Having now used up the "mental health" option, if I was his solicitor, I'd be liaising with the legal team used by Abu Hamsa.

Is it actually possible to get a 'fair' trial is South Africa?

Considering the volumes written on this case and this man how can a fair trial even be envisaged?

If I was a betting man I would say; He will go, he will be found guilty (he has to be found guilty) and he will die in prison under the hands of someone else.

Something doesn't seem right about this whole matter.

But on the upside, the deceased's sister is fit, so every cloud...

Black toenails, bruised knees and red marks where they had the crocodile clips on his sack?

I expect he will take matters into his own hands sort of - unless of course he is innocent in which case he could chance it. Tragic for all concerned.

It's like the Trayvon Martin case only in a reverse parallel universe...

Strictly speaking, I was inaccurate and the Judge doesn't say go off for a trial as Mr Dewani is still considered unfit to plead, and thereby hangs a potential; appeal point. Usually in such a case we don't extradite.

I am not sure why so many here seem convinced that the bloke must be guilty. I have no view on that.

Black, as the Ace of Spades, in the soul is for a higher judgement.

Are you being deliberately obtuse or do you just want to find any excuse to cry rascism?

I'm sure I replied earlier on in the original thread that my thoughts were that he shouldn't have left his new wife alone in the car after the alleged car-jacking. Perhaps he's only guilty of being a coward, perhaps not.
Whatever, there is a higher court that will judge him.
