Moody's credit rating agency say that an iScotland would be likely to receive an 'A' rating.
An 'A' rating is 'investment grade' (i.e. not junk and worth investing in) but 2 grades below the UK 'Aa1' rating so deemed riskier and would be more expensive.
I remember the Yes campaign touting that their rating would be higher. I believe they claimed S&P as the source, but can't say how much validity it had.Moody's credit rating agency say that an iScotland would be likely to receive an 'A' rating.

How do you get a credit rating without a currency?Moody's credit rating agency say that an iScotland would be likely to receive an 'A' rating.

As far as I can make out a Moody 'A' rating would be qualified A1 (e.g. Malta), A2 (Poland) or A3 (Peru).Moody's credit rating agency say that an iScotland would be likely to receive an 'A' rating.

Can you imagine how impossible Salmond will be if the YES vote wins.
Yeah, but not for long.To the Scotch, I say enjoy your freedom from the shackles of Westminster. We should chuck in a free box of deep fried Mars bars & then take bets on how long before Salmond is hanging from the nearest Edinburgh lamppost.
Which is what will happen after the hangover of freedom is slowly & painfully replaced with the dreadful realisation that the "buy now, pay later" plan actually requires some paying up.
And to all those Bravehearts who will inevitably pile in to tell me how wrong I am, save your wrist action for after a YES vote. I really, really don't care either way.
(well, only enough to post this but that's about a slimey toad)

Heard R2 J vine at midday today first part about BBC and Nick Robinson - he played the entire press conf and he did say Salmond did answer the first question however he clearly didn't answer the second as we can all hear. Then he had a ProYes and ProNo as debaters - my God are all ProYes shouty people and do they all simply talk over anything anyone who has a different view to them?
That was Tommy Sheridan. He's pretty 'special'.Look him up on Youtube, I dare you.
