It's getting ridiculous. I'm in two Whataspp spinoff groups from two separate forms mainly so we can continue to have interesting wide-ranging discussions about stuff without the Rayner-type thought police taking the moral high ground and telling the rest of us what to do or think.

It's a shame. It kills debate in public forums which then become echo chambers for that sort of group think.

Well, if it is a really good idea or policy, then Labour should be happy that it is being implemented as it will be of benefit to the country.

If such an idea or policy is stolen by the Conservatives, then Labour can then tell everyone how good their idea was and how the country will benefit.

That would be a win/win for labour, so the question should be why Labour won't publish their ideas / policies, particularly if the country would benefit from them.

You raise a brilliant point. Unfortunately that isn't how our parliament works, you dont help the other side in first past the post because you just end up making them look good. If you are advocating a different of parliament then all good.

You can say something is the wrong approach, but if it is the system then it still applies until its changed.

I believe that a 70mph speed limit on a motorway is the wrong approach, but that limit still applies to me

Right, but she's the one who has been demanding everyone else hand their licence in for doing 70mph and now she's caught doing 70mph and not handing in her licence.

I'm not denying that but I prefer a system where people behave in a reasonable civilised and honourable way and that applies to us all equally. I already criticised her for even thinking of using language like calling Tories scum.

Unfortunately a few posters here think that abusive, misogynistic and insulting language is all fine. IMO It is not.

I genuinely hope that Rayner is being honest with the public. I dislike the woman’s political stance and her delivery but if she is found to be untruthful that’s another major kick into the belly of trust in politics.

It's well and good some gentle piss taking - like the Lammy Youtube clip, or the Mordaunt/AR Youtube clip amongst others, but the level of really quite offensive abuse you sometimes see on here is quite extraordinary.
