The very fact that she could even think it let alone say it out loud speaks volumes about her.
It is not about her specifically, its every one in the Labour movement. Unless you tick all the boxes and agree with every aspect of the approved beliefs you are the enemy, you are not someone with different views, you are not someone to talk with, you are wrong and bad. It's a shame. It kills debate in public forums which then become echo chambers for that sort of group think.
fk that.

Why should they have a plan now? As far as I'm aware, there isn't an election yet and as has been shown by recent events, if they do publish a suggestion, then the Conservatives may well steal it and claim it as their own. (Non doms, for example)
Well, if it is a really good idea or policy, then Labour should be happy that it is being implemented as it will be of benefit to the country. If such an idea or policy is stolen by the Conservatives, then Labour can then tell everyone how good their idea was and how the country will benefit.
That would be a win/win for labour, so the question should be why Labour won't publish their ideas / policies, particularly if the country would benefit from them.

As far as Angela Rayner is concerned the police should do their investigation and take whatever action they see fit. If she is found to have been misleading then she should stand down as a shadow minister and her constituency can insist on a recall with sufficient votes. This is how our system works.
It is for her consituents to decide her fate as an MP not a few prejudiced PH posters.
Except that this is about rent-a-gob Rayner, who has been adamant that that's the wrong approach repeatedly. It is for her consituents to decide her fate as an MP not a few prejudiced PH posters.

I believe that a 70mph speed limit on a motorway is the wrong approach, but that limit still applies to me

Right, but she's the one who has been demanding everyone else hand their licence in for doing 70mph and now she's caught doing 70mph and not handing in her licence.
It doesn't change the system, it does reflect poorly on her.
I'm not denying that but I prefer a system where people behave in a reasonable civilised and honourable way and that applies to us all equally. I already criticised her for even thinking of using language like calling Tories scum. It doesn't change the system, it does reflect poorly on her.
Unfortunately a few posters here think that abusive, misogynistic and insulting language is all fine. IMO It is not.

Is it really necessary for the name calling?
It isn't. It never has been. Not for any Politician. And that includes Conservatives who regularly get pounded on these threads - sometimes by some of the people who think AR is being hard done by on this one. Good luck calling for an end to it all though. The last time I tried it the pile on was not insignificant! Something something snowflake something something.
It's well and good some gentle piss taking - like the Lammy Youtube clip, or the Mordaunt/AR Youtube clip amongst others, but the level of really quite offensive abuse you sometimes see on here is quite extraordinary.
