More shambles. In diplomatic terms the US couldn't find its way out of a paper bag. They made themselves look very stupid at the last vote and now, unsurprisingly, Russia has enjoyed rubbing their noses in it.

You mean the US, who vetoed all the previous resolutions, are upset because another country does the same? I suspect the Biden administration is panicking a bit now they realise they have no control over the situation.

Interesting takes these. I'm not sure I agree with either.
International politics is international politics. Yes of course the USA will trumpet its disappointment at the outcome, but equally it's the case that it would have known in advance that this would be the result. It's rarely a case that voting for or against something is simply a case of considering that single issue in isolation from anything else.
What I think is significant is that the US has sent a clear signal to Tel Aviv that it is moving towards supporting a ceasefire. Yes, of course it is still attaching conditions to that ceasefire - most specifically the return of the hostages, but nevertheless the fact that the US put forward the amendment is a big step.
Now, you'd have to ask the Russians and the Chinese what was so objectionable about the US amendment that they voted against it. In the case of the Russians it could be something as simple as wanting to inflect a defeat on the US in the UNSC, or it could be something related to their own sensitivities around the situation in Ukraine. Either way Putin will not have been thinking about the plight of Palestinians or any desire to protect Hamas.
As for the Chinese, well thats anyones guess, but here again I doubt its much to do with Beijings support or otherwise if any of the protagonists in the fight.

The key point was the US tabling the resolution. That is their message.

Obviously their enemies Russia and china will vote against them.

Tha passing or failing of the resolution is of no consequence, since Israel has a long record of ignoring UN resolutions.

It is merely a key forum to make a public statement.
What might the next step be?

Using the veto is only fine when the US does it or it doesn't conflict with anything they might wish. If anyone does it in defiance of one they are putting forward, it's obviously wrong...

I hate this stalemate while rival governments play politics.

What will have to happen to get UN military or peacekeeping intervention, similar to what happened in Bosnia?

I see 4 people apparently being killed in an explosion.

I can't tell their age, race, location, who killed them, why they were targeted or by whom from the video.

Is there any verification of the details that you claim?

And now the IOF is blocking UNRWA from delivering aid to Northern Gaza. A more cost-effective means of genocide than bombs or guns.

Isn't it the responsibility of their leaders HAMAS to get aid to their civilians. Where are those muppets in all of this?
