Mark Harper on Sky news Insisting the public hasn't stopped listening to the party, we just need to "keep getting our message out".

elling voters they're wrong, you're not listening is not a winning look but full on reality denial is very Conservative 2024 mode, Election now. What possible purpose can six more months of this fruitloopery serve?

Do you regret endorsing Sunak?

Yes.

Pretty unequivocal there.

And Mark Harper.

Something about Rwanda and everything is fine because Ben Houchen won.

Apparently there's a plan and it's working.

Why is she even on the programme? Do separate Tory party factions get their on own slot now?

Incidentally Kuenssberg really is st.

How she got her own show is completely beyond me.

I assume she's got where she is because of journalistic ability because she's not much good as an interviewer.

It’ll help run your new keyboard in?

"The plan is not working," the former home secretary said, urging the PM to "change course" and swing to the right“
Doesn’t she realise, that nobody votes Tory because Far Right Loons like her were allowed anywhere near government.
Sue Ellen & her type are to blame entirely for the mess they are in today.

Yep. Good chap, pretty selfless compared to every other politician I have met. He did a lot of good for the West Midlands and will be a major loss. His drive on housing in particular was notable.

Incidentally the incoming WM Mayor was very complimentary about Andy Street as well. Very civilised.

Someone hit the nail on the head earlier, people are not voting Tory because of Rishi Sunak, but because of all the chaos of the Johnson and Truss eras. Literally nothing anyone can do will undo that. The public have given them enough chances and are fed up. They no longer believe that things will improve under a Tory government, and evidence suggests they're right.

The one thing Suella did say on TV this morning which was correct was about the government not delivering on people's priorities. There is no discussion on parliament about the state of the NHS, very little about the amount of sewage being pumped into the sea, instead worrying about things like Rwanda which most people don't care about.

He has also cautioned Sunak against any further move to the right. Decent, intelligent chap.

Few and far between in the current crop of Tory MPs who only appear to be interested in keeping on the gravy train now matter what.

Slightly off topic, what were the people who voted for Houchen in Teesside thinking of? Maybe he signed them all up to his get rich quick scheme along with all his mates.

Yep, the delightful irony of Suella's nonsense. Cons captured by the loony right like her, haemorrhage votes to Lab, Libs, anyone else who is perhaps a bit more centre left, Suella's analysis is that the Cons strategy is wrong and they need to tac right even further. Er.... be my guest. It's pretty much evident to everyone else this is just a waiting game for an election the Cons are going to loose. Quite what they think they have to salvage by waiting a few months is beyond me.
