They kept out of the first gulf war even thought they were provoked
They were under a LOT of pressure from the US / Coalition not to retalliate, iirc.

In a thousand years time, when we're colonising planets around the galaxy, all of the Atheists will be able to inhabit their own planet free from all of this religious booloks.

The rest can bomb themselves into oblivion and nobody on 'Atheist World' will either care or notice.

Sadly I won't be around to see that utopia frown

In the discussion, you didn't say why, so I was making the point that they didn't hold off because of the goodness in their hearts.

Yeah, Atheists are a peaceful bunch. Like Mao, Stalin and Pol Pot.

Bit silly posting that.

Anyone with an ounce of logic would understand that there was no way the US or anybody could have seen the rise of these twisted retards.

Who the hell do you think we were fighting during Iraq II?

Remember Al Zarqawi? Yeah, the guy who lead Al Qaeda In Iraq - same guy who had a penchant for beheading captives on video.

A rose by an other name. Those people were ISIS: The early years.

They bode their time, waited until the coalition troops had left and started to re-group. That the Al Maliki government marginalised the Sunni's, played right into the hands of ISIS.

Syria gave them another ripe breeding ground.

Unforseen? I'd bet any western intelligence agency worth their salt saw this coming.
Indeed. Or POTUS even.

Perhaps that's why BO was trying not to get involved - for it would have proved GWB right.

I think Jimbeaux's post pretty much nails where BHO was coming from:

They did, and warned against it. Our POTUS is determined to be the peace President and waited too late. He is learning, in a hard painful way, that his vision of the world is a fantasy.

I *really* hope she and her family are very well protected, coz she's just painted a massive target on her back.

I understand why it's been publicised but from a security point of view, very shortsighted IMO.

The latest developments seems to have dragged the professional agitators out of the gutter again. They were holding a 'protest' in Leeds this evening in support of IS.

What are these people on, how can they be so staggeringly ignorant?

When one of them accosted me I asked one WHY they would be supporting ISIS, only to be met with a tirade of abuse and shoulder barging in a clear attempt to provoke a physical reaction. So much for their claims of being 'peaceful'

2 wrongs don't make a right. Much better to keep him alive and let him suffer the justice that's coming, rather than 'martyr' him.

I can understand protests to stay out of something, but a rally in bold faced support of ISIS should be the limit.

TV interviews of Muslim people on British High streets brings about a different response to the mainstream.
