The Top Gera theme tune is sacred but maybe The House Martins could be asked to reform for a single recording?

No top gear thread would be fully stirred without this...

Think you'll find the Labour Party set a precedent when Prescott punched that eggy lad in the face. "It's just John, being John..."

The Beeb is snugly in bed with Labour, so it's out of order this time.

In case you've forgotten, behold, the Red Baron goes forth...

Unless you work in a very strange environment you must surely realise that there is no similarity whatsoever between someone retaliating to an attack from a random stranger and someone punching a fellow employee.

I know that deep down you do understand this, but clearly it suits you to make this a political issue when it really isn't.
If you punch a lefty it should be automatic promotion.

Why wouldn't they JM and Hammond are freelance so can work over ITV BBC SKY etc - unless they have an exclusivity clause which they may or may not have.

Is anyone tweeting JC and the TG team...

Yep Guy martin would be great

Clarkson is well overdue a good kicking - he has been getting away with murder for years. I'm sure he has a god complex. Fat
Well at least he doesn't call himself a Lord, you don't even know what has happened yet and you want to see him have a good kicking? have a word with yourself
It's a metaphor. I don't actually want him to get a violent kicking you melt rolleyes

Excellent. I will punch my boss in the face tomorrow and cite the Prescott defence to avoid any repercussions. if I'm suspended it will confirm my suspicions that my employer is in bed with Labour.
laugh

And when in court:

'your honour, I refer you to Prescott vs the egg guy'.

Judge:

'why the fk didn't you mention that at the start, case dismissed'.

Coming up today: what made Jeremy Clarkson punch a defenseless Down syndrome child and his elderly wheel-chair bound mother in the face? Denise Robertson will be here to speculate.

What if we do? Facts are scarce, so speculation is all this thread is about. Well, that along with outrage, glee and fanaticism.

I don't think that discussing the situation objectively on PH is appropriate or a good use of your time. You'll just get bogged down arguing with people who worship JC because he's a tt like them.
However he is an entertaining tt and I like it when he tests cars, I really do.

My question is does it matter what he has done? Is he so untouchable he can get away with anything. Do those defending him believe that? Really? Does money, ego rule. End of?

If he goes, it needs a series reboot:

Chris Evans
Sabine Schmitz
Maybe keep Hamster OR May but suspect you would want a younger "personality" instead

VBH or the Suzy off of gadget show are the only two ladies I can think could fit the bill to add a new 'interest'.
Or Jodie Marsh, she's up for all sorts!

What if he really tried not to say a word but on listening back it turned out he had really said a word, and thrown coffee all over a 30 yr old junior producer whilst shouting "fk you bh, call me king or I'll get your black ass fired"? I'm just saying, what if?

Anyone else sensed an increasingly pissed-off James May this season? Seems to me he is REALLY getting a much bigger dose of (manufactured) scorn and abuse from Clarkson than previously. He looks bored from what I've watched.....
