Clegg reminds me of Peter Jone off Dragon's Den; when that bloke turned up with the iGlove and PJ ripped into him about the 'iWhatever' was an Apple brand/trademark and so would never ever work. You could just see him panic at the thought someone was going to run with something he'd not thought of and so the only avenue availble was to dis it as rubbish.
