I'm not at all surprised shes free, I've never been able to work out what scenario ends up with the original conviction, with the Italians reducing Guede's sentance on appeal after giving evidence against them.

Maybe they were there, maybe they were involved, but how on earth they were convicted on that evidence was simply hard to understand.

They made so much about 'microscopic DNA avidence', and yet, as has not really been pointed out much, the girls lived in the same house together.... quite frankly, they're dna was probably everywhere.

Good point - some bloke on on TV said they might let her fof for the mrude rbut give her 4 years o nthe smaller stuff to save face.

Would you normally get 3 years for falsley accusing someone of murder (and on a civil level apparently)? Just think in the UK you can accuse someone of rape and get nothing.

Meh. She will make a fortune on the back of this, and the poor parents of the murdered girl have been fogotten.
If Amanda Knox looked like my arse she'd still be in jail.

I suspect there is a lot more to come out about the investigation... good news she is free and she will be set for a better life now.

I really hope they remember that someone was still murdered before celebrating their release.

I don't think anyone has forgotten her parents, but no one wants to see a huge miscarriage of justice.

And someone is still doing time for it, those proven to be innocent have been released.

I should think they've thought about that every day for the last 4 years. If it was me in their position, i'd be planning to enjoy myself as much as possible now whilst screwing the Italians for every penny i can get.

2p worth...

I get the feeling that she knows a lot more than she is letting on. I think she was there, Sollecito turned up with Rudy Guede, and I strongly suspect another man on a promise; things didn't go to plan, in the main because of the unexpected arrival of the 3rd man. Rudy Guede (and maybe the other man) cut her throat; the other two freaked out and disappeared, and her defence that 'she wasn't there' was very shrewd because if she told the truth that she was actually there, she would have been implicated and found guilty. She simply had no choice but to lie, assuaging her guilt in the clear knowledge that the real culprit had been successfully tried and convicted. It's a tragedy, and though I feel for the family of this victim, she didn't deserve her 25 year sentence for murder.

In every story / quote about Knox and her family I've read it's all about Knox. Not a mention of Meredith Kercher.

The translator should be sacked, I had no idea of what was going on when they gave the verdict.
It's fascinating to watch such human emotion being played out on our screens. Lord only knows what it must have been like for those innocently involved.
