There is more 'racism' between the black tribes in South Africa than anything the Whites could conjure up. The Zulus reckon they're a cut above everyone. Black on Black crime is horrific. The level of violence between the Zulus and Xhosas beats anything you've ever seen between the black and white races in South Africa.
Sounds like black on black crime in the U.S. Edited by audidoody on Wednesday 17th November 13:38

The basic problem with Africa is that it never had a tradition of civilisation or the unitary state before the west came.
The difference with the far east, which had nation states dating back centuries long before western contact with the area, is very marked.
The Africans were living in tribal societies in many cases not much different from when our ancestors left the continent to colonise the rest of the world.
I suspect the Chinese involvement will make no attempt at developing the civilzation of Africa, they are there to milk it and will force order only to that end IMO.The difference with the far east, which had nation states dating back centuries long before western contact with the area, is very marked.

In may ways the Chinese are bribing the locals with infrastructure upgrades and schools etc in order to gain access to the mineral wealth. Whether they will run and maintain this new infrastructure is another question!

Indeed.. But, why should some facts be allowed to get in the way of the great middle class political correctness machine? I shuddered to my boots when Tony Blair "apologised" for slavery. Why?
The British did not invent slavery
The British did not act without the assistance of black tribes throughout our involvement in slavery
It was largely as a result of British moral and political pressure that brought about an end to most of the slave trade in the free world.
It was the British Royal Navy that effectively policed the seas to ensure an end to large scale slave transportation
Yet we're the feckers who made the grovelling apology! All so that in the wine bars of Islington and around the country the poorly informed guardianistas could quoff their SA Chardonnay, happy in the knowledge that they'd made it all alright now.

Your article was a good post, thanks. The part about the U.S. investing more but adhering to its policies of Democracy and rule of law could be problematic. That would limit us being able to match the Chinese actions of bribes and other shady doings. Honestly, I don't think that will slow us down.

Not even then. I find it telling, that you al like to label me neatly as a racist and then, upon finding my wife is a minority, resort to calling her some sort of subserveant. I would die for that woman without a minutes hesitation. ETA: If I am ever at a BT&P event, see to it that I don't see you two. If you think that's a bluff, then all the better for me.
Awww thats probably the nicest thing you've ever said on here Senior But threatening people is a little below the belt even if they did tongue in cheek about the wife. After all it was you that mentioned her.
Also please bare in mind that i'm married to a mirpuri lady and i fking hate mirpuris with a passion. I do discriminate against them! I still love my wifey though.
So we don't forget what this thread is all about, an update

South Africa arrests man for killing Indian-origin woman on honeymoon
2010-11-17 20:20:00
Pretoria, Nov 17 (IANS) In a major breakthrough, the South African police have arrested a man involved in the brutal murder of a newly-wed Indian-origin woman who was in the country with her husband for their honeymoon.
The couple who flew into the country from Britain was abducted in a taxi in which they were travelling before the woman was murdered.
The police Wednesday formally arrested a 26-year-old man after he was detained for questioning Tuesday in connection with the case, BuaNews reported.
Police spokesman Captain Frederick Van Wyk said the man will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court Thursday.
Anni Dewani and her husband Shrien Dewani were honeymooning in the Western Cape when they were hijacked while heading to Gugulethu Saturday night.
The couple were in a taxi owned by a shuttle service company when they were attacked by two armed men at an intersection.
The driver was forced out of the vehicle and the gunmen sped off with the couple still inside the vehicle.
At some point, Shrien Dewani was also forced out of the vehicle, who later alerted police about the hijacking.
A search for the hijacked vehicle led police to Lingelethu West, where Anni Dewani's body was found on the back seat of the vehicle.
Van Wyk said a post-mortem was carried out Monday and her body was released to family members Tuesday.
Details of the post-mortem would only be released once it was presented as evidence in court, he added.
Police are still on the hunt for another suspect. Van Wyk appealed to people to help the police if they have any information related to the case.

The savagery of Africa has existed long before they learned to hate the white colonial, and will continue to thrive long after they have wiped the white invaders from their continent. These are the savages of Africa and the power, violence and cruelty they possess, in all its forms, on the continent they call home, is beyond the ken of you or I.
Actually, it was exactly this train of thought which led me to immediately be suspicious that the driver and the husband escaped unharmed.Violence being such a way of life for some and of course they do murder the lady, let yet two blokes go? Especially if one is somewhat wealthy and might well have been able to give them more money etc..
As for the "suspect" - I might be a tad cynical here but it's very convenient for tourism that someone has been caught so quickly when so many crimes go unchecked....

They had taken everything from the husband, the driver had nothing. The woman had something left to give.
Think as well that in societies like the townships women are treated differently from men, they are a rung below socially.
Low functioning animals do not think or plan ahead and operate for the moment and what is on the table at that instance.
It really is as simple as that. You are looking at this from Western eyes, but trundle down to one of our worst estates and you will see the same sub human actions and processing.
