The likely outcome of the whole sorry situation is that nobody is going to get what they wanted.I didn't get what I want!
The UKIP utopia of stopping brown people and Eastern Europeans coming to the UK won't happen, and we're likely to end up paying the EU silly amounts of money for access to the single market - but without a say in how things are being run.
We'll end up with the worst of both scenarios, with nobody coming out a 'winner'.

The BBC couldn't persuade any other US citizens to travel to Watford in exchange for expenses and whatever they get fed in the green room? Even Bonnie Greer would be less inappropriate.

"The force is strong in the remainers - the darkness in their hate, blinds them it does"
Anyway Trabi is one of the 69% of the population that didn't vote for Leave so I'm not expecting math to be his strong subject either
Quite tired of tonight's show.
Panel politicians are losers...as normal, all emotion no logic. Huey and the blonde woman are logical.
Audience though, full of dopes, tiring. Not even an amusing one like that fella from a few moths ago who gave the most non sequitur audience answer ever.

Nonsense. Even UKIP don't want any of that, Farage's ghastly posters aside. As you've picked the Norwegian option to critique; there's plenty of evidence EFTA/EEA would be a better fit to the UK than full EU membership and practically they do have plenty of influence on how the rules are drafted. The UKIP utopia of stopping brown people and Eastern Europeans coming to the UK won't happen, and we're likely to end up paying the EU silly amounts of money for access to the single market - but without a say in how things are being run.

to be fair chap it's not UKIP were looking to stop 'brown people' from comming here - that honour belonged to the EU (a predominantly white club). IIRC Faraaaage did say that leaving the EU would mean we could take in more people from the Commonwealth (predominantly y'know 'brown')The UKIP utopia of stopping brown people and Eastern Europeans coming to the UK won't happen, and we're likely to end up paying the EU silly amounts of money for access to the single market - but without a say in how things are being run.

I find it saddening that, in my local area, the biggest exit vote came from the constituency which has seen the most EU investment. When picking people at random on the streets and asking them why they were so heavily biased towards leave, the answers were largely about immigration - both EU and non EU.
What saddens me the most is that they have one of the lowest proportions of immigrant populations in the UK.
Which shows that the immigration fear campaign was hugely successful within some demographic groups.
