How 'many' lidl workers are dissatisfied and where did this information/survey come from? What are these other little wrinkles you speak of, intriguing.
Many years ago I went for an assessment centre/interview type thing at Lidl's Scottish base at Livingston. They were paying above average money + car for graduates for store/area manager roles.

They were quite open that because they paid well they expected you to be at their beck and call pretty much 24/7. IIRC talk was of 60hr weeks but I'd expect there to be significant creep on that and again iirc they had significant churn because people weren't meeting their expectations and/or they couldn't hack it.

In fairness this was 15+ years ago so details are hazy but I vividly remember their head office was a sthole. Their no frills approach genuinely goes from top to bottom.
Rings to what I saw. High churn, keeping those that can hack it. There was also the fact that after a couple of years Tesco would poach the good ones.

You really are an unpleasant piece of work aren't you? Continuing to ignore the thread and make person remarks, while (incorrectly) criticising others for going off on tangents. Priceless.

I've said no such thing.

In future, perhaps you can find someone to read the threads for you, then you won't keep making mistakes and claiming that people have said something that was not the case.

This sounds like retail in general, store managers are generally expected to work their ar$es off regardless of the brand. It seems Lidl are being up front about the slave like conditions and up their pay to attract the best talent.
I have no personal experience of shopping in Lidl so have no idea on service levels etc but staff costs are the biggest overhead of a retail business by some margin and reducing headcount is well in vogue in the sector.

Only when those with an extremely high opinion of themselves try and fail to twist and divert the thread to something they feel more comfortable with.

Seriously, go read some of the st you've posted in this thread - your opinion of what a tube driver should be earning was hilarious. Your nasty little 'Lidl manager was a ****' not so much.

Couple of points:

What's a person remark?

You were accused of a 'sidicks tangent ' (you're welcome to use the term if you like) - It's described above.

As explained already, and with the evidence still available for all to see, I contributed to the discussion regarding the purpose of Unions in the 21st Century. No twisting and no diversion required.

An opinion shared by the majority of people on here, if I remember correctly...

Seriously, respond to the post and stop the personal remarks.

It appears that other posters took it as the tongue-in-cheek comment that was intended (in response to a similar jokey comment). No surprise that you did not.

Seriously, please provide my quote where I stated that "A Lidl manager knows nothing about Lidl or their employees" or similar.

For the last time, ps off with your personal remarks. If you can't comment on the discussion topic just ignore the thread.

Some posters suggest that retail sector is, in my interpretation of the words used, quite ste to work for.
What they need is a good strong Union perhaps.

What! something more useful than your one line response. Pathetic.

Retail is full of youngsters, students, part-timers and others not particularly minded towards union type activity- if they don't like it they get a better job and are replaced. Others could learn something from that...

In spite of Corbyn's wee sign today there will always be st jobs.

Last reply, I promise.

I can justify everything I've posted in the past few pages (bar calling you an utter - I'll let others judge that based on what you've posted and how you've justified it).

But, I'm wasting my time with you and that's about to end.

Report this post too - perhaps a mod can offer a tissue or a shoulder to cry on.

What a man.
What a clever, clever man.

Bye.

To be fair, your passive aggressive condescension is as bad as his name calling so I am not sure why you need to run to the teachers now?

I have no problem with writing posts in a sarcastic or condescending tone (normally in response to someone posting in a similar style), nor when someone replies to me in the same manner.

However, recently legzr1 has simply resorted to ignorant insults repeatedly, ignoring the content of the thread and making out I've said something when I've done nothing of the sort.
