Basically spoil the papers?

OK - that's a better way of fixing a vote. So we can put this pen st to bed then?

Though 10% spoiled votes - looks odd

Forget erasing anything. Take a polling card, used, neat cross in only one box. Now add anything at all to that, cross in the other box, picture of a fish, "I love Lucy" doesn't matter, need take no more than perhaps half a second; hey presto, spoilt ballot, doesn't count. Like I say, immensely unlikely to happen, but a lot quicker than your idea if you wanted to steal a vote. (Just lying would, of course, be even easier.)

Someone on my FB mentioned that it must be rigged as they are only allowing you to use pencils. When I stated that it's not true, and that you can use a pen, she responded that how did I know it wasn't rigged...???

I give up.

Has anyone got an eraser? I've done several hundred papers and mine has had it.

Will swop for a pencil if required. I have hundreds of them.

To be honest it would be in everyone's interests if these people were not allowed to vote. Also not allowed pencils, or any other potentially sharp objects.

I'd prefer they were allowed sharp objects, with the safety labels removed.

What a tt. And videoing the police officer, too.
But why are the police involved in an incident of pen lending? Catnip for conspiracy theorists.

In my polling booth there was a biro along side the tethered pencil. I went with the biro. biggrin

Maybe the pencil was tethered so as to prevent it reaching the "leave" bit?

Good God the "ooh put your tin foil hat on missus" crowd really pisses me off. How naive do you have to be to imagine anyone in government isn't capable and willing to do anything underhand as a means to an end.

Encouraging the use of pencils because pen ink might fade? Are they going to count the papers this century? You have to be fking kidding me!
Really? Something like that would require an enormous amount of people. You cannot keep that many people quiet, someone would talk. Government can't keep anything a fking secret, massive voting fraud across the entire country? Give me break.

When I picked up the pencil a felt a strong magnetic force trying to pull my pencil to the remain box.

Luckily I had my tin foil hat on so I was impervious to the nefarious way of the illuminati tricks and placed the cross in the leave box.

Be warned people stay frosty.

Did he write that with a pencil or is he only allowed crayons?

Postal votes people!! Postal votes!! What do you think the Royal mail do all afternoon once your post has been delivered at breakfast time! They've been changing ballot papers since Christmas at least. Royal mail. Pencils. Eraers. You heard it here first.

Even their logo: A crown and "ER". Short for "ERaser"

Tin foil hats set up max, WOPR is at Defcon 2 people.

Leave doing better than expected - imagine how well they'd be doing if we could all use pens instead of pencils.
