https://www.scotsman.com/news/politics/mega-poll-s... Assuming this poll is close to accurate, how the hell is this possible? 41 seats returned including a load of gains from the Tories? I’ve not seen the detail but I assume it’s basically Labour taking a load of seats in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Dunbartonshire and into Renfrewshire & Inverclyde, the Lib Dem’s clinging on in NE Fife and the Northern Isles and the SNP winning everything else including Aberdeenshire, Moray, Dumfries & Galloway and the Tory seats across far south Lanarkshire and the Borders.
Exactly what does Yousaf have to do to lose these seats?
It's a poll (of polls) - a sample and best taken with a pinch of salt. Exactly what does Yousaf have to do to lose these seats?
TBH I've no idea what will happen in Scotland at the next GE but would expect Labour to make big gains in SNP held seats.
Old Yousless getting it tight over on X/Twitter. Turns out that not very many people are appreciative of his Orwellian State Compelled Speech Bill, and ironically in response are espousing a great deal of hate towards the hapless and incompetent race baiting grifter. I'm sure the long finger of the State Polis will soon swing into action, and those responsible for such egregious hatred will be arrested and sent off for re-education.

There is poking the bear and there is beating the st out of it with a bloody great club. This is the latter. I particularly like the 'I am out of the country' line aka you can arrest me at the airport if you like..

Question I don't live in Scotland but I know some of our more left leaning friends do. So if I misgender someone can they report me to police Scotland. But as I am in London is it a crime.
The trouble is of course that Scotland like the rest of the UK has changed beyond all recognition on account of Immigration . Factor in those of questionable sexuality and we have the need of the present sledgehammer to enforce harmony . Back in the day when we were either Fenian or Prod life was so much simpler .At 60 years of age and contemplating after 40 years a move back north to Glasgow , I wonder about the Scottish Government’s priorities. All my ardent Nationalist school friends have seemingly gone very quiet . Can anyone tell me if the words Tory Scum come under this legislation ? At one stage it seemed this phrase had become a legitimate SNP campaign slogan.

I think it is possible for exactly the same reasons the Tories kept getting in for 14 years down south. For the majority of the electorate, who vote for the least worst, they were likely the least worst. Now due to our 24/7 news cycle and a conflation of Scottish and National politics, Sunak and Starmers lot seem unable to allow a few hours to pass without ourltdoing each other on the ineptitude/perceived ineptitude scales, so many think 'well, it's not too bad for ME personally', and vote with their noses pinched for comforting ineptitude rather than any new ineptitude that MIGHT damage THEM personally. I could not and will not vote for any political party north or south of the border right now, but I've felt that way for many election cycles. Exactly what does Yousaf have to do to lose these seats?

So say I know Brenda McScotland used to be Bruce so being a tt I call her Bruce online and say look factually you are a man with male chromosomes and also a cock and balls.
Now the above might be true (also mean) but in England it's factually accurate and not slander what can police Scotland do?

If you do it online yes. You may be in London but the crime is committed in Scotland if it is online and is read by someone in Scotland. In other words. the Scottish courts have awarded themselves worldwide jurisdiction. In England no extradition problems. If a Scottish court issues a warrant the English police arrest you and you are brought here to appear in court.sherman said:
Jehova! Jehova! The next old firm game is on Sunday. Will Police Scotland computer servers be able to cope?
Calling someone a Fenian/Orange bd must be covered by the new law. So can be reported anonymously by anyone using the handy online form.
Good point made on Radio Scotland today. A supporter of the says inciting racial hatred was already a crime. To which the presenter said "has the law reduced it". The answer was don't know.

Wings has published the full legal opinion they obtained from the Dean of the Faculty of Advocates in relation to the Act and its possible interpretation and application by the police.

I suspect he (and any normal folk on any side of any argument) will be rightly happy with that opinion.

I'll be straight on the phone, and not anonymously either, to report 22 people to the fraud squad for claiming to be football players.. Calling someone a Fenian/Orange bd must be covered by the new law. So can be reported anonymously by anyone using the handy online form.
