She doesn't 'look' like a freak in this photo.

In fact, I'd say those eyes are very mesmerising.

The whole story seems very bizarre.

1.228m of wasted funds.

As soon as she even tried to claim loss of earnings as an actress they should have thrown it out of court and billed her for the waste of time!

Hadn't seen that one

She had argued in the High Court that her abnormal growth meant she was “effectively getting uglier, to the point where you can’t become an actress”.

What an utterly absurd thing to say!

I'm too ugly to be an actor, so is 85% of the population, so what?

And since when did tallness equal ugliness?

What a queer post.

What do you think then, do you think getting tall deserves a seven figure payout in compensation?

also how can she argue loss of earning when she hasn't started a career path? judge should've told her she'd make a great wookie wink

Queer? what a strange post. hehe

My point was that this invites a typical PH response, ie that if it doesn't fit into someones personal bubble 'cos they didn't retrain after losing their cushy job at Daddy's cousins business then it must be categorized as being somebody who's a scrounging/socialist/commie/ne'er do well/chancer/trying it on scumbag who never did a days work/doley dosser etc etc.
Take your pick.

And you don't think that it should be proportional?

So whether someone is killed, or left paralysed, or is left with a minute scar on the inside of their thigh, your response would immediately be "take them to the cleaners"?

Cos that's kind of what this thread is about. Should someone who's suffered the side effect of becoming very tall due to the NHS missing something be entitled to a seven figure payout due to (for example) being unable to become an actress, even though she never was one?

I'm obviously being a bit obtuse tonight. Where did I suggest that 'cos she didn't retrain after losing their cushy job at Daddy's cousins business then it must be categorized as being somebody who's a scrounging/socialist/commie/ne'er do well/chancer/trying it on scumbag who never did a days work/doley dosser etc etc.? confused

due to the NHS missing something

simple enough really, it's called negligence [again] the rest is window dressing to support that, but the fault and effect is quite clearly supported by the evidence.

Out of interest, are doctors expected to spot absolutely every ailment that one might have?

Especially when the "free" service being provided is stretched to the max trying to deal with every ailment and affliction ever invented and a few more besides...

The blame and claim culture that's growing here is pathetic. And some of the arguments this girl used even more so. Sounded like milking it for all its worth - and her numbers came in.

I was referring to the general PH philosophy of the entitlement thingy, your post was an example for me. If you disagree, fair enough. I still believe that the PH mantra is that 'if they don't come from the same class as me then fk them'
I'm out.

I have a lopsided head, can I sue? I'm sure it was a nurse squeezing my head to hard when I was born.
