I'm not bothered if she is 'bigger' or whatever, horses for courses, everyone likes something different. My only concern is that if someone is struggling with their weight aged 18, what on earth are they going to be like in their 30's or 40's? Health problems?
I've had a bit of a paunch and a 30/32" waist since age 13 or 14 (I'm 20 now), so I'm hardly Brad Pitt. However, I cycle every day and eat a sensible balanced diet yet it still wont go away. Ergo I conclude that some of it is genetic/metabolism related and not related to lifestyle - which may well be the case for this poor girl.

For the record, I would poke her as I like a bit of padding instead of a sack of skin and bones

She is very pretty and she's hardly huge. In short, I would.

She's a big fat tubba. If she's happy being overweight then fine, I've no problem with it.

Yeah in the second pic she looks quite cute.

I do wonder though, I sense the mental/attention we is strong on this one. You got the piss taken out of you. We all do, shut up about it and carry on with your life like 99.9% of us do.

Just re-brand size-ism to health conciousness. Being fat is unhealthy as is being too thin.

Healthy middle-ground is the way forwards and should be applauded. People should not be congratulated for being overweight.

This picture is for the strange man at my nanny’s church who told me my belly was too big when I was five.
This picture is for my horseback riding trainer telling me I was too fat when I was nine.
This picture is for the girl from summer camp who told me I’d be really pretty if I just lost a few pounds
Slow learner?!

I'm sure she is a simply fabulous person.

Her friends love her.

She is strong.

Independent.

Happy in her skin.

These things are great.

But, she is not of a healthy weight. Without indulging in some kind of body fascism it is bloody obvious that that is not going to be what a medical professional would advise.

She's carrying pounds, no doubt, but just about the right side of blubber (looking ok facially helps as well). Skin marks of some description do not.

Anyhow, are you sub 10% BF? If you are, genetic luck or sweat & denial?

She says: "For the girl who hated her body so much she took extreme measures to try to change it".

Apart from the extreme methods of not eating too much and doing a reasonable amount of exercise, of course.

unsure what 'extreme measures' she claims to have taken, presumably not healthy eating and exercise, but obviously not worked out

she's chosen to be unhealthy and is upset that people have pointed it out, claims not to care but plainly does

sure skinny can be unhealthy but any media obsession with that or whatever could easily be brushed off if she were healthy, but she isn't

akin only to 'I smoke / am an alcoholic / drug addict.....it's who i am......deal with it' sure it's her life and body but let's not pretend she deserves any credit for spouting

Poor girl - must be an absolute nightmare at the beach - she goes in for a quick dip, comes back on shore, and then there are suddenly a dozen Greenpeace, Friends Of The Earth and Worldwide Fund For Nature volunteers trying to push her back into the water.

I'm about where I should be BF wise.

I am however a chain smoking alcoholic in recovery.

We've all got out demons...

That's mean. Bottom line is that she's a chunk with a pretty face and a nice smile.
