I suspect he is a bit simple. Also surprised that Vodafone didn't have some kind of credit limit on his account.

However he knew what was going on and those girls have to be paid. I guess in the end he won't pay or will pay back at a fiver a week.

I bet the girls he was calling didn't look like the one in the Mail either!
They do, they're Studio 66, it's a sky channel, 912 is one, I'm looking at a lovely brunette right now. biggrin

On the screen, it says £2p/m.

The guy is a tool.
How/Why did Vodafone issue him with another sim when he first one was barred.

Guess he just told them his SIM was lost, they got him a new one. Job done.

Guy is an idiot, his comments about cutting the bill are ridiculous.

I would make some sort of comment about him being representative of today's "blame someone else" society, but to be honest this guy is a special kind of idiot.

No, they don't.
With all that tugging he should be one of their fittest customers.

Guesswork...
The premium numbers aren't charged by the phonecompany.

Instead, the phone company just deals with the phonecall, the premium company adds on the premium and sends the bill to the phone company.
It's likely/possible that vodaphone only kbew about the big bill at the end of the month when the invoices were recieved.
AFAIK the price is fixed according to the Ofcom number scheme, so they will always know up-to-the-second how much a customer will owe.

The £19k+ bill so I'll sign up to another account and get back on the blower part was a clue.
