No one's yet mentioned he already had two previous convictions for race hate crimes.

"His sentence includes mental health and rehabilitation requirements"

Suggests not all his dogs are barking.

Yet men have been jailed for throwing processed meat products at a Mosque.
They were Polish though. Can you compute that?
Does it matter what nationality they were ?
I just wonder how certain people can compute that.
One of my liberal friends of my wife who was invited to a meal where a friend who worked in banking was coming along said to me "Oh God, please whatever you do, don't you dare sit me next to a banker! I'm likely to vomit over them." Or words similar give or take.....

So anyway I'm a bit of a git so I waited till the evening and of course Rasheed was very interested when I told him little Miss Liberal refused to sit next to a Muslim! And was eager to find out why!
All was explained but she was pretty embarrassed.

Setting aside the involvement of a baby, doesn't look like unusual sentencing, whatever the colour of the victim or perpetrator.

It sounds from the article, and the description of the incident, that he has a pretty serious mental illness. He's 'avoided jail' in that he's got an 8 month suspended sentence conditional on him receiving treatment.

That seems sensible to me. All that locking him up is likely to do is make him angrier and crazier for when he gets out again.
I would disagree.

Clearly he has some issues, but 'care in the community' means the public are still at risk. If he needs treatment, then why not go into a mental place and come out treated.
