Yes and No

Is the stated reasons to turn everything off utter bks

Hell yeah

Is the basic idea that we should not waste energy sound

Hell yeah

So is the idea behind earth day bks

Nope

We only have a finite amount of oil and until we have a decent form of renewable energy up and running then we should not really be wasting energy and anyone who sayes otherwise is in my opinion an idiot

AT exactly 8:30 I will

turn on every light in the house and garden.
Start both cars and all 3 bikes
have my desk top and 4 laptops running Kettle
Toaster
Oven
Patio Heater
All 4 rings on the hob
Heating on MAX
leave the doors open on the fridge/freezer
7 TVs
Video
Wii
Air con unit running
Washing machine
Tumble dryer
Dish Washer
Stereo

Then I thought I might go to Mikky Dees and slip over in the dark, "injuring" myself and claim the compensation!

Simples!!

I have 8kW of heaters, seemingly all on.

Not worth turning on a few light bulbs, in the scheme of things.
