I am re-commissioning one of my older chalk-stripe suits for the occasion. I plan to team it with highly-polished Oxford caps, a pink shirt, suitable tie, and a lapel badge reading "not ironic". The thought of these twerps actually impeding my freedom to go about my lawful business makes my stabbing hand itch, so I'm making a stand.
They're gonna get you....Chessers said:

I'm in, and I will buy the first round of lunchtime beer at DD for those that are able to make it. If the weather is nice, suggest we meet at Exchange Square.
DD is a good shout and near enough bang opposite my office as well although I am heading down towards Bank later on in th eday for a few beers.pokethepope said:
Do you think it will be affected on Friday? Most of the stuff is happening Wed and Thurs I think, but i'm getting picked up in Islington on the way to a weeks skiing in france. My family are coming down from Cambridge but im not sure if they should pick me up in London or I should get a train to somewhere near the M25. They're coming midday so if its going to be affected, that'll be the time.
It's our secret plan for us protestors to make the most nuisance on Friday - that's when you'll least be expecting us City of London, 9:04 AM, Wednesday 1st April...

Always happy to dress down - combats at the ready. I work at a law firm where they actually still wear pinstripe suits, and braces. Dress down for them will be chinos and checked shirts so they'll all stand out and deflect the aggro from me
I think the most fun will be in the evening when all the office juniors spill out of the pubs in their best Paul Smiths after the football.

Have been told not to come in as I am pregnant.
Saw a mob of them this morning at Cannon Street and when I reached Moorgate, they carried straight on. All had sleeping mats and dirty scruffy clothes/hair.
Four police people walked passed them but didn't do anything, not that they could have anyway as they were just walking and not making much noise. One of the crusties was giving a commentary of where they were walking through - called Moorgate, the "retail" section.
Part of me would like to come in tomorrow to see what will happen! If I wasn't pregnant and was coming into work tomorrow, I wouldn't dress down - in fact I felt quite protective of the City this morning for some strange reason.

I think it's absolutely absurd to hold the G20 conference in London. It's as if the government are deliberately setting the City up for a spanking from the crusties.
It should be held at some country house conference centre, miles from anywhere, so that a simple security ring-fence can be applied.
Why couldn't it be held at Chequers?

Just received an e-mail from work, to say that anyone that does not need to be in the City (Office is in Aldgate) should work from home on Wednesday and Thursday.
Am due to be in London on Wednesday, (but only Hammersmith then Russell Sq) but Thursday I'll work from home.
Lets hope there is not too much trouble!!!

Working from home - not getting up at 5am to deal with a load of workshy scum that my taxes support.
Plan to be on the golf course by 4.30 (love Blackberrys), and the same on Thursday.

We're coming in (The Wharf) but have been told to dress down. I'll don Jeans and Timberlands....Good sturdy boots them.
