That says Gwen was away, whereas the telegraph article says the popstar was in bed in the flat at the time of the burglary.TEKNOPUG said:

You're a bad man.
Know someone at Harbottles?
Although they did smash her front door down with a battering ram....so doesn't really tie in with the story of lost keys.....

Right....but the popstar X is still the legitimate owner of the property. How you came to have it is of no relevance. I guess it depends how you worded your offer:"give me £20k to buy it back or I'll sell it to the screws" would be blackmail.
"would you be interesting in buying your property for £20k? No? Ok then" would not be blackmail. I think that there has to be some implied threat of action if you were not to concede to the sellers wishes, for it to be blackmail.

Surely the blackmailer immediately took hundreds of copies of the digital media, on a variety of formats and then distributed them around the world to solicitors, informing them to forward them to news agencies and websites throughout the world, should he ever be arrested, found dead or "disappear"? And informed the "victim" of this, before attempting to extort monies?
No? Bloody amateurs....
No? Bloody amateurs....
After a quick google, the only international female pop star that I can see who was burgled in London last year was Sten Gwefani.
However, that was in September and the article clearly states the burglary was in November 09.
Unless this reported date is a red herring as part of the court order?

Hey, Andy....tell us about...Article said:
Late that night, a man entered her house and prowled around while she and a relative slept alone in separate rooms
That clarification is rather odd.As said, sex tapes are hardly likely to damage anyones career these days.
But pics of you shagging your mum/brother/dad/relative might!

There must be some smoke and mirrors, there are just two many details included to make it any more difficult than a 5 minute google search:However, that was in September and the article clearly states the burglary was in November 09.

- November 2009
- International Popstar
- London
- Laptops stolen
That narrows it down somewhat, wouldn't you say - only it doesn't?

You are offering stolen goods back to the rightful owner for a sum of money - how can it not be blackmail?Even if you denied all knowledge, a QC worth his oats would have you banged to rights within 3 questions. Frankly, I would think the prosecution team would be running a book if you did something as daft as try that defense.
