No idea if he's a UK citizen, but it's worth pointing out that in other countries domestic violence gets your immigration status canceled immediately with no right to an appeal.

I see he was ordered to undertake community mental health treatment - it's a pity that doesn't apply to several million other brainwashed religious fanatics that are presently causing trouble around the world.

Off topic, but I can't see any downside to that as a law.
