Roger Waters has responded, it would appear he was misinterpreted.

I tend to agree with him too.

He makes a quite valid point IMHO.

My best mate's brother fought at Goose Green and he agrees. (if that counts for anything in PH contributor's eyes)

Cracking quote there from John Nott:
'Are the French duplicitous people?' the answer is: 'Of course they are, and they always have been.'
I was in a briefing before we went into Iraq for the second Gulf War and one of the lads asked how Saddam had managed to re-arm as embargoes had been in place from the first Gulf War. The officer from military intelligence said, "Well of course it would be impossible to implicate any country in the sale of arms to Iraq. France for example. So there's no way I'd say it was France. And if I were you I'd concentrate on the last 3 words of that sentence".
For a nation whose military exploits seem in the main to consist of waving white flags, they are quick to arm others.

In the same way that Spain manage to keep quiet about Ceuta and Melilla when getting in a lather about Gibraltar.

Must be something in the Spanish temperament.
Is it Ceuta or Sebta? wink

The miitary angle has been done conclusively on the More Argie Bargie thread.

The end result is it seems we are in a better position now than we were 30 years ago defending the islands wise.
Unless the French help them. Again...

Or did they.... oh I don't know.
While the use of French tech certainly aided the Argies last time, we are in a much better defensive position now.

And our military technology moved forwards...

End result: well, it is only in the last few hundred years that we have stopped fighting them.

It would be interesting if the mode of transport upon which Morrissey & his cronies chose to depart Argentina ended up in need of RAF Air Sea Rescue.

As retards an endangered species, could the crew get all EU on them & chuck them back?

I never knew Eammon Holmes was musical, let alone in Morrisey's band.

I like how all the band have clearly been forced to wear those T-Shirts and not a single one looks happy about it, meanwhile Morissey (a man of principles, clearly), isn't wearing one.

I would hope that they are blacklisted in the industry and can never work for anyone else - an industry with such a high representation of minorities such as jews and others has absolutely no room for public expressions of hatred like this.
