They've gone utterly nuts.

They're reporting all sorts of things on Saudi TV about Canada:
- Canada needs to improve its prison system to bring it up to international human rights standards
- Referencing 1,000 mysteriously murdered women
- Accusing Canada of ethnic cleansing
- Accusing Canada of supporting terrorism
- Claims Canada treats its citizens like Myanmar treats the Rohingya muslims
- Claiming Canada has the world's highest suicide rate
- Declaring their support for Quebec independence
- Claiming Canada has the world's highest rates for persecution of women

It goes on - Iyad el-Baghdadi has documented it here:
https://twitter.com/iyad_elbaghdadi/status/1026781...

All this because Canada suggested they should release women's rights activists!
this one made me laugh
"Canadian human rights violations" infographic by Saudi-owned @AlArabiya says "75% of all prisoners died before their trial between 2015 and 2017"
It's not funny. Their citizens will, after being told what to think during the bayan, eventually believe it all.

It's all a bit completely mental isn't it?

You'd think Trudeau had done a press conference with an infographic of the Crown Prince trussed up, wearing a ball gag and getting ridden by some prime Canadian pork.

*Something* has happened and it isn't a comment about human rights.

Plot twist : 9/11 attackers were actually Canadians.

exactly my thoughts, They went on a mad media campaign a few months to they are the same Saudi Arabia they have alwayd been. Why does our media not call them "dictators" like when they talk about Syria. Quite clearly they are in control of all media ect.

the UK's argument about selling them missiles for them to or use to kill kids in Yemen is bks. If we dont sell them then France or Germany will sell them. Surely a stronge media coverage about it will solve this. Saudi
Ariab will then claim the UK is just the same as Canada. skip a few steps and we stop dealing with them until they sort their st hole country out.

When Trump visited tens of thousands took to the streets, with celebrities and politicians lining up to condemn him. The Emir of Qatar, a country where it is illegal to be gay, women are treated as less than men and migrant labourers are kept as virtual slaves and worked to death, visited a week later. How many protests and giant balloons were there? None whatsoever. What did the likes of Sadiq Khan, Owen Jones and Caroline Lucas say? Absolutely nothing.

The Saudis bomb a bus full of school kids who were on a school trip.

“Saudi Arabia is facing an international outcry after at least 29 children were among dozens of civilians killed by a Saudi-led coalition airstrike that hit a bus in Yemen’s Houthi rebel-held north.

This is a really bad state of affairs about a country which has poor state affairs since we gave them a state, we being the powers in charge at the time.

It really is a despicable regime and one country that needs regime change whilst pretending it is not regime change. Also do it for the oil, at least that is honest. Invade, take all their oil wealth and spend it in a proper manner. I know that is blunt but actually would help them out as well if they got a democracy. They would be happier, apart from all the princes who have all the trappings.

And I normally vote liberal / social democrats / whatever it is called this year, but I think Kenny Everett had it right when he said "Put them in a field and bomb the bds", it would be like a holiday in Yemen without having to do the ordeal of passport control and RyanAir.

I have got my tongue in cheek here of course. wink

Maybe.

If the likes of Russia or Iran had tried something like this there would be an international outcry from the heads of NATO members. However as it's Saudi Arabia this will just be brushed under the carpet.
