And? Blippi has 18million subscribers, his audience are probably a bit more switched on too
I was responding to a comment that suggested his following wasn't worthy of consideration.

As an aside, you do have a particularly aggressive and unpleasant posting style don't you? I do love a keyboard warrior though, so please continue . smile

That's a pretty decent reach both here and in the US I would suggest?
Only amongst the tinfoil hat wearing community.
Rather dismissive and reductive don't you think?
Just making the point that people who are thought to be influential within online communities can be completely invisible to mainstream society, and those who are in those communities can become completely detached from reality as the rest of the world sees it. 6 million is 0.2% of YouTube's subscriber base.

Now he's a massive thorn in the media and establishment that employed and used him
Is he? Because he's spouting conspiracy bks on YouTube, which most people were completely unaware of until late?

I think you overestimate his influence.
6.6m subscribers on YT alone, a large number of videos with multi million views, multiple Joe Rogan podcast with 20m+ views etc.

That's a pretty decent reach both here and in the US I would suggest?

I’d guess fewer of Blippi’s supporters have issues with the jews too.
I am not familiar with Brands content, I only saw one of his vids on pfizer vax pros being exaggerated, which is far from tinfoil hattery. The consensus these days.

Is he actually antisemetic? I saw another post which smacked of lunacy earlier in the thread invoking antisemitism from Brand. I forget who it was, but I assumed a loon, perhaps HM-2 snuck in again, or ADL wind up.

Can you point to his antisemetic content? he comes across as more hippy than hitler.

Otherwise I'll assume these are all cases of massive over-assumption, A leads to B leads to Z kind of delusional logic. The yin to the flat earther's yang.

It appears you’re misreading my point - deliberately or accidentally I don’t know, which was regarding subscribers.

The light touch when it comes to AS was demonstrated a few days ago on the thread.

It’s quite a good example of an echo chamber really, albeit an algo-perpetuated one.

I think I made the point earlier in the thread, at least go and watch several hours of his content first then give an opinion on that, else don’t comment on it. It’s OK to hate the guy, but just dismissing what he does because of your hatred is a bit childish and naive. I believe his channel has worthwhile content to take away and learn from personally. Don’t have to suck it all up, don’t have to believe or like all of it, but it’s worthy of a listen.

Or, if you're unsure whether it will hurt, go and stick forks in your eyes.

On a similar note, I challenge you to speak to actual doctors, actual virologists, actual climate scientists, actual lawyers etc etc. People who actually have real world expertise on subjects, rather than random entertainers on YouTube.

Who are you speaking to in that regard which makes your contribution so worthy?

I have, I’ve also listened to loads of them, some have been in Brand’s channel. This indicates you have no idea what content he is broadcasting at all, which highlights my point.

There are 8billion people in the world, the idea that Brand with his 6million global followers is a threat is silly

The idea that a threat is only evaluated on the current number of people that are supportive of it is a bit silly too, if you ask me.

The problem is that Brand's analysis, being generally suspicious of 'corporate interests' etc, isn't particularly insightful imo. So I doubt the quality of his ideas is going to cause the next revolution.

This reads like Katherine Ryan was not talking about Brand when she made her comments about a dodgy guy on the comedy circuit. Wonder who she's talking about, if not him?
