Hopefully!
Just returned from a nice meal in edinburgh and there was very little mention of the poll - there's definitely confidence that there will be a no vote.
The coverage on the bbc here (same as the rest of the UK?) is like a very poor low budget version of the usual action polls.
Scotland is getting different coverage. Rest of UK gets Edwards/Vine/Neill etc.Just returned from a nice meal in edinburgh and there was very little mention of the poll - there's definitely confidence that there will be a no vote.

Whatever the result is, it will be a victory for the SNP
Why, if it's a no vote surely they wind up disappointed? confused_buyer said:

I can see why you say that, given that 40+% support will been seen as a lot.But do you think the SNP will really remain popular having put everyone through this turgid tsunami of lies?
Or will a much higher turnout at the next holyrood elections - which seems likely - see them out?
I suppose one of the downsides of a No is that Salmond's bluff on the pound and EU will never really be exposed, so he might yet get away with his outrageous lies. There is a fair chance his complicit civil servants - who seem to have thrown their code of conduct out of the window - will all be quickly sacked to deter any further government sponsored deceit of the Nation.

Bookie odds are lengthening, doesn't look like independence will be happening.
Way too early to tell IMO. I think it will be very close and the result will only be known when all 32 local authorities have declared their figures.Hoping for a 'No' vote. Was going to go to bed and get up early for the result but don't think I'll sleep!
It looks like the crowd are on the pitch.
