Anyone read this yet - from today

Some interesting stuff in there - maybe the tide is turning.

“We shouldn’t be destroying our economy in order to chase some wild left-wing idea that somehow, us, by ourselves are going to fix the climate.”
Is there finally a slight aroma of coffee in the room?
I don't think that'll get much traction, just derision. The West is now so left wing I fear it will disappear up its own arse, taking the rest of us with it at some point in the near future.

The west is now so left wing Chris? Where do you get these notions from. The CEO of Shell is talking
about solar power for now and the future. He admits that we can't go on the way we are now regarding fossil fuels.

It seems that Jeremy Corbyn's shadow energy and climate change secretary is perhaps a bit of a lukewarmer.

Interesting that there is also a feeling that those on the left of the party are grooming her as their candidate to replace Corbyn when he eventually leaves the job.

What's certain is that we can't go on the way we are with renewables.

Renewables simply won't work, it's explained very clearly at the links.

not heard that one before, took a couple of seconds for the penny to drop :-)
She won't dare step out of line on climate change orthodoxy now though. Too much at stake career wise!

I wonder if that's a PR stunt - great headlines to keep the Green terrorists away?

I've never understood why warmists think oil companies would be against the global warming scare. There's a potential fortune for them to make from carbon capture alone. Shell in particular backed the scam long before it became trendy. Look how many energy companies fund the infamous Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.

This is interesting. An article is yesterdays Guardian said that 21 indigenous stories from the Australian continent documents a sea level change of 120MTRS between 18,000 and 7,000 years ago !!!! This makes the present scare stories of sea level changes a bit weak. And of course, this happened NATURALLY.

Sea level change has been declining and approaching zero for some time as we move away from the previous deglaciation and approach the next glaciation.

Shocker: Top Google Engineers Say Renewable Energy ‘Simply won’t work’

That screws up just about every pro climate change government in the world. Just confirms my view that technological subjects should be left the technologists and engineers who understand it all, and don't talk bks for political gain, status, and future reverence as the guy(s) who saved the planet !! By apply lots of extra taxes of course, that always works !!

Is that not about as scientific as the stories of Noah's ark, and all the others listed here ?

Not having read the article I can't comment on it, but assuming the extracts as noted are correct, it's entirely consistent with "scientific" reports on sea level change as depicted in my earlier response to robinessex's post. Look along the time axis for the period between 7000 and 18000 years ago then read off the sea level change from the vertical axis.
