The GWPF has already appointed independent scientists to lead an inquiry into data 'adjustment'. Hopefully their report will be announced with perfect timing, immediately before Paris and just as the BBC and Guardian are whipping themselves into an orgasmic frenzy of faith.
But they are re-adjusting the data so fast it's like trying to hit a moving target!
yes

Climate modellers had already set a demanding target for fiddlefactoring some years before the turn of the century.

The climate modelers have been cheating for so long it's almost become respectable.

Still, more evidence that it is a religion and not scientific at all. No scientist worth their salt would ever make such an assertion - jail those who disagree with my research!?!? I think perhaps another career is in order then fella.
It's not science as we know it Jim, not in this thread smile

Beam me up Scotty it's getting cold down here.

As long as they're protected by like-minded weak governments, they will just carry in wit impunity, even, seemingly, using laws to stymie any (legitimate)? opposite viewpoints.

I wrote earlier in this thread and I stick by it, the weak wishy-washy Western governments will be our undoing if it carries on unchecked, and sadly, that does look likely to be the case.

It's worse than that - it's dead Jim, dead Jim.

If only Star Trekkin' had just been a song and not a commentary on what would be.

To be fair, Europe has sweltered whilst the UK has had a very stty summer.
To correct you, South eastern Europe has sweltered, the rest less so. Germany, France and Northwards has been as rubbish and cold as here. In addition, I recall watching the Radio1 Ibiza special on the iplayer, it was pissing down there in August; that is almost unheard of.
And to correct you, a friend who lives near Antwerp has had the hottest summer in at least the last thirty years.
I have personally sweltered in Basel(twice) Ljunjiana (twice) Utrecht and Geel and every time I returned to the UK it was bloody freezing
It certainly wasn't hot here in Stuttgart. There were only about a dozen days over 90F the whole summer.
Dear me I did come across as a patronizing git there didn't I? Sorry about that.

So it would appear that its been a bit hot/cold across Europe, in other words, fairly normal.

Europe in the main had a hot summer, yes, was it unprecedented, a paradigm shift in climate, no.

Harrabin on R4 this morning reporting on various vested interests who were all, surprisingly, critical of the Government reducing their subsidies by 90% or whatever.

The highlight for me was when he said played a clip of a car accelerating hard and then announced that George Osbourne was going to charge Porsche drivers the same VED as a Prius. The swine!

Nothing but propaganda.

My Honda S2000 was registered a few days into Gordon Brown's increase to £500. When does this welcome reform kick in?

It seems as if everybody, except the government, is beginning to see that the Nuclear power plant plan is complete bks. Old George is having to promise more and more of our cash to prop it up for when it all goes pear shape.

Germany waking up?

MUNICH, Sept 8 (Reuters) - The German state of Bavaria will press the federal government to reduce supports for renewable energy, a high-ranking local policymaker said on Tuesday, calling the cost of green power a threat to economic growth.

"We have to step on the brakes of electricity costs. Germany's energy transition must not become a decisive disadvantage and a risk to our welfare," said Ilse Aigner, deputy prime minister of the south-western German state and minister for energy.

Al Gore demonstrates his inability to understand some simple maths re the ACTUAL cost of energy.

Mr Gore said he was "puzzled" by the government's wholesale cuts to subsidies for renewable energy.
