I wonder if there is any logic in Trump's outrageous tweets. He does seem to be very good at setting the news agenda for the day and having everyone talk about the silly things he says while ignoring the more important issues.

I wonder how long people will take to learn that an outrageous announcement or statement is highly likely to be the equivalent of jangling keys to distract a baby.

Yes indeed plus it's a great way to get free publicity. Trump is a master at it. I find it really amusing that people think he is stupid. Whatever you think of him, he isn't that.

If he's got anything to support his claims, then he ought to do what Stein has done and request a recount, otherwise it just looks like very petty arguing.
Rather pointless, given that he won. Though I'd be interested, if not purely to see if more light could be shed on Bev Harris' claims.

Also, this recount effort comes from the Clintons. They are using Stein to save face.
Tricky for the Democrats as there's loads of allegations of fraud in their primaries.

There seem to be lots of ways to stop people voting in the US (even as simple as making you queue for hours - what's that all about?)
Crosscheck is alleged to have played a big part in this.

It's perfectly obvious to me.

He enjoys winding up lefties.

I suppose that is why he gets on so well with Nigel.

Natural Gas is clean; cars are constantly improving consumption; so that leaves coal, has it not gotten much cleaner?
Happy Thanksgiving Jimbeaux. On my way to Gulf Shores for the 4 day. First time I'll be with my wife's family since the election.

Thankfully none of them support Killary. This year I'll be thankful for the winds of change.
Happy TG as well, sorry for the delay. I hope you didn't contract any flesh eating bacteria or whatever the hell that was over there this Summer. smile

Latest from Twitter is that he's met with General Petraeus. For those who have forgotten, he was the one who passed classified information to his biographer (who was also his mistress) while he was in charge of the CIA. He was "very impressed!"

I presume he meant someone else's flag in the second tweet.

Just the same as any politician, then. It's not like Hillary ever called for prison sentences for those who desecrate the US flag. Oh, wait....

Is it possible to link the actual tweet rather than a screenshot?

First tweet appears to be a fake.

There's a couple of comments on Twitter that burning the flag is a constitutionally protected activity and that loss of citizenship was declared unconstitutional in the 1950's.
It's also suggested that this is the 4th time since winning that Trump has suggested he's going to do things which require amending the constitution... Something which hasn't happened since 1992.

As if Trump gives a toss about the American flag, he's just winding up the moonshiners to keep them happy

Nope, that's just one tweet, not it's predecessor.

BTW, did you know that Hillary tried to get this passed in 2005?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_Protection_Act_...

It was a nonstarter then as well.
