t's interesting that I ask you about 'the Irish' and you tell me about the IRA.

I ask because it seems likely that 30 or even 20 years ago, you would have been on about Them, how They were disproportionately violent thugs, how They needed to stand up and denounce violence etc, and yet now what are they? Just another nation of normal people, I suspect?
Well because unless you are a retarded idiot your meaning was clear, your snide comments hardly take rocket science to work out and you don't score special clever points for your post above.

You are completely wrong. I remember 20 years ago and I didn't say that. It seems you are wrong about many things.

Or was I wrong about the whole thing and on a thread about terrorism, when Irish are mentioned, I was expected to comment on the merits of Guinness vs Carlsberg or Irish vs Scotch whiskey.

Oh he's a tricky one that character, he's got me confused.

Good and they should be in all the international media condemning these so called followers of their faith until its over.
How's he going to manage that? It's not like "Sensible bloke says something sensible" is particularly newsworthy.

Well I'll note that down in my book of Special Clever Points.

I was poking at the idea that you or people like you treat the set of all Muslims somewhat differently from today's set of all Irish people, with very little time between the respectively linked eras of violent action - except maybe the joke's on me and you treat both as terrorists, I'm not sure.

I would expect these "leaders" to have got together by now (its only been going on since 9/11 after all) and come up with a concerted plan to combat these misguided individuals who purport to be fighting in the name of their religion and sect. The pope only has to fart and its on the news. Yet all we get is the same old these people do not represent us mantra rolled out time after time ,where are the calls for a fatwa against isis?

they need to stand up and call these people to account and in a very visible and vocal manner until they do they will always be open to the accusation that they don't really care

could it be that the sunni sect is more split than we are lead to believe and if they did come out and condemn isis we would actually see the level of support isis really has.

Oh yeah I forgot how effective the pope and the Catholic Church has been in dealing with problems from within its own institution

Creampuff, just accept that you got made to look a tt. Learn from the experience and move on.

We he was out on bail is perhaps the more pertinent question to be asking at this point in time.

A misogynistic nutcase.

I've often said, it takes a true idiot to pick a fight in something they have nothing to do with.

It could be Islamists picking a fight with members of the public.

Or it could be you as in your post above.

At least you do less harm.

1. I am guessing you do not understand the standing or meaning of the term imam in the Sunni sect?
a Sunni imam is akin to your dad or school teacher all the term imam means in the Sunni sect is the one who leads the prayers and anyone can lead the prayers.

2. part of the Sunni sect is at war with any non Sunni's if those Sunni's who want to live in peace with the rest of us don't get together and convince the rest of the world they mean what they say they will be lumped in with those who would kill us.

Unfortunately I feel there'll be more of these as the place is full of them.

Also now expecting an even bigger refugee crackdown.

I read (on Yahoo, I think) earlier that he was on bail regarding as many as 47 sexual/indecent assaults of women/ How can you be allowed your freedom when connected with that many crimes?

I lost what little faith (geddit) I had in religion when some Irish people decided that killing each other, and anyone that happened to get in the way, over slight differences in the same load of codswallop was a great ting to do.

I can say that as I'm half Irish and we had to take our family name off the door, back in the 70s/80s, as there was a backlash against any Irish folk on the 'mainland' whenever the bombs went off.

One thing I have learned from over half a century on this planet is that the majority of the people that inhabit it are incredibly thick. So they hide their inability to think, to care, to love by being feking horrible to people and then make up some half arsed excuse to why they are being 'forced' to do what they do.

This is all a bit Star Wars isn't it? for we are expected to turn the other cheek in order to show that we are more superior and not give in to the Dark Side.

So they want us to be consumed by hate, start fights with anyone who is, or even looks Muslim and then they have won, or we sit back and endure their attacks.

Between a rock and a hard place eh!

The ramblings of a bloke that has consumed wine and a large glass of Advocaat. Merry Christmas......there's two families and groups of friends in Sydney who are about to suffer the worst Christmas of their lives frown
