fk me, you really are a prejudiced ageist fool. What have old people ever done to you?
Hang on, where has he referred to old people?
Just Winston's way of trying to divert attention away from Scuffers comments.......#awks
Scuffles, that's who you asked if he was over 60, right?

So what is it about the over 60's you find so objectionable? Why should it matter?

These highly educated anti-Kipper youngsters on here, especially the one I refer to as 'should have gone to Specsavers' would do well to remember that being 'ageist', is just as bad or humiliating as sexism, racism, etc.

And they would do well to remember if it were not for some of the old farts, some who now reside in the 5 mins of care society we live in, they would be walking around under the dark skies of a f......g Swastika.

And finally, they ought to remember also, something slightly different with ageism to all the other 'nasty' things in today's life...
one day, if they're lucky of course (although looking round me now, many will be lucky to reach 60), they too, will become fking OLD!

Nearly Godwins law. Well done.

No one is ageist here and no one has said anything against the elderly and have not used perjorative insults like 'raving poofter' unlike your chum.

Nope, just surprised how some people who think they're so enlightened are just as discriminatory as those they seek to smear.

I find it very amusing.

I don't think you do, I think you are trying desperately to deflect the attention away from the fact that is clear to everyone, that scuffers is a homophobe, who can't moderate his language in a mature way, and can't hide his prejudices. Worst of all, he's not grown up enough to admit he's made a mistake and apologise.

I'm not keen on the word bh, but I'll give you the rest. But I was rather more interested in how scuffers might describe her.

Actually, I've just seen his description. Interesting that he doesn't feel the need to refer to Ms Abott's colour or sex. Yet when the object of his ire is gay, that's what he focusses on.

He's stating a reality of life. What on earth is wrong with stating the truth? You live in a little dream world mate. Not long ago in an episode of Emmerdale, it showed 2 men on a bed kissing each other, my workmates - age ranging from 21 - 48, all said they cringed when they saw it. But not one of them is homophobic, they are just normal Herero sexual males, who don't like to see men kissing.

This was Nigel defending Kerry Kerry Smith

"Smith stood down as the parliamentary candidate for South Basildon and East Thurrock saying he was “sick of internal backstabbers,” and will now take up a position on the Essex County Council.

During the radio program, Farage further insinuated that people from council estates were naturally prone to racial slurs, citing their background as the main cause for the insensitivity.

He called Smith a “rough diamond” who “speaks in a way that a lot of people from that school and background do,” citing his “council house” upbringing as the root of his casual racism.

Later in the show, when a caller alleged UKIP members were resigning daily “over racism, homophobia, sexism and the like,” Farage claimed the press were unfairly targeting his party.

He called it a “media witch hunt” and denied his party members were resigning “every other day.”

“I don’t think I read that every day! We’ve had a case of Kerry Smith who, yes, he was ‘loutish’ in what he said and is not fit to be a parliamentary candidate, but I don’t think there was anything malicious or evil about what he was trying to do,” he added."

A party with a nasty core of bigots that Nigel seems happy to make excuses for.

I have a 76 year old friend who is homosexual. He is in a club that I am a member of. There are 40 of us. We all know that he is as bent as a nine bob note, and nobody has a problem.

However, he was brought up in a time when homosexuality was frowned upon. So we all pretend that we don't know.

A few years ago his long term partner passed away. None of us could attend the funeral because that would show that we knew that he was gay.

We all felt our friend's grief, but we were unable to show it.

Homophbia, ageism, they're exactly the same thing in my book. I think I might have to have a chat with Esther about Countdown, he harbours discriminatory thoughts that should be unacceptable in this day and age.

Not long ago many people would have felt the same way about a black man kissing a white woman. Society's changed. For the better in my opinion. Unfortunately certain people's bigoted attitudes haven't changed. They just try to hide them, and moan about PC gone mad......

And UKIP seems to have an awful lot of them....

Why were you unable to show it? What physically stopped you attending the funeral and supporting your friend?

Perhaps telling, that he didn't feel confident/comfortable that he could be open about it with you.

Wonder why that was.

Most of my gay mates refer to themselves as far far worse... As always it's down to context.

Do you think it's ok to lump all old people together?

'Am I right in assuming you're over 60?' someone said earlier. What was the implication of that then? He was going to let him know he had a bit longer to get a bus pass or draw his pension?

Come off it, you know what it meant, and it was ageist.

And as for the bit about my Chum (that's dog food isn't it?)
Don't call him my chum. I don't know him from Adam.

Oh yeah, Godwin's Law
...is how I've keyed it, not how you have. Lesson over.
