At least two would-be attackers were caught trying to smuggle knives into campaign rallies attended by UKIP leader Nigel Farage before he stood down, it has been revealed.

It is also claimed that a surge in death threats against Mr. Farage and his family contributed to him stepping down as the leader of UKIP.
Were these two would-be assassins arrested and charged?
I don't remember reading about this anywhere else. MSM conspiracy to hush it up, no doubt
Wonder why? scratchchin

Are you implying that Breitbart may not be telling 100% of the absolute truth? How dare you! may the seed of satan sully your salad dressing!!

biggrin

What i found interesting about the article was the suggestion that a previous incident, involving a french car and a loose wheel nut, was also an assassination attempt. You'd think that Pistonheads, of all websites, would have realised that french cars trying to kill passengers was not actually that rare an occurrence biggrin

FTSE250 is up 8% over the last two weeks.

There is no point talking about YTD figures. We are discussing the changes in property funds. The only period that is relevant is the last two weeks.

Remember, I have made actual predictions on here. So far I have been spot on, despite people telling me that I am idiot.

At 7:45am on the 24 I advised that people pile into shares. I was mocked for about two hours, until it became obvious that I had been correct.
Oh I misunderstood.
What you meant when you said "stock markets are doing very well" is "stock markets are doing very well after their unprecedented fall on the morning of the Brexit result" rolleyes
What on Earth is wrong with you? Why the rolleyes?

I gave you some free advice a couple of weeks and you chose to ignore it. Suddenly you think that I am wrong. Well, I am not wrong. I run a stocks and shares ISA for both myself and my wife. I also have a stocks and shares SIPP, and a normal taxable trading account. I've done very well in the last two weeks.

You might think that you have to look at the long term. This just demonstrates that you know absolutely nothing at all about share trading. Why would you comment when you have no knowledge? This seems to be a common trait among Remainers. You all seem to think that you understand business, but hardly any of you have ever actually run one.

So, I'll offer you a little challenge. You start off with an 11% advantage.

Let us both imagine that we have £10,000 to invest. I will invest in an index tracker fund at tonight's close. (6590).

You have said that you would invest in cash, gold and something else (which I forget). Tell us how you would invest your £10,000, and we will see how we have done at close of play (4:30pm) on 30th of September.

No bets. No real money. £10,000 virtual pounds.
I like this, has he taken you up on the offer?

No, it's the fact that the country was taken in by a charlatan whose entire reason for being was to promote his own hate-filled brand of politics.

He has taken from the pot for 17 years, whilst doing nothing productive, other than to disrupt.

He's created a divided society, where being openly racist is now seemingly acceptable and brought us to a position of political chaos and instability.

You have to be very foolish indeed to be one of his merry band of blinkered supporters.
See a doctor.

Seriously Trabi - I worry about you not because we differ in opinion - that's a good thing - but because you appear to think that everyone who voted leave supports Farage and UKIP where the actual case is quite different.

Personally I can't stand Farage, the language he uses and I've never voted for UKIP but I have a huge admiration for him as a politician who had two goals and never wavered from them.

He wanted the UK to leave the EU and the EU to break up - he's got the first and I don't think he'll have to do anything further to see the second goal achieved.

As I pointed out to you before and haven't seen a reply - we have one layer of politicians with their snouts in the trough - why do we need another "higher better paid level" that are working for the interests of 28 27 countries.

Fortunately not!

Although unfortunately his insults are rather pathetic considering what I do for a living. frown

My elder son-in-law used to be a trader. I'm not sure he'd agree with 4l that trading has anything to do with business.

'Anyone' can run a business.

Doing it successfully, understanding it, and sustaining it, is an entirely different thing.

That's why so many go to the wall!

I've done it for 24 years... (and 4 months).
