BTW, never seen a nuke go off myself, apart from films so no idea what a small one looks like so I am probably not qualifies, nay, defiantly not qualified to speculate.
I'm pretty sure the proximity shown in the video (time to sound arriving), even to a 'small' current battlefield nuclear weapon, would provide those observing directly with a nice dose of heat radiation to the point they'd want to duck and cover, and not just stand around filming it.

Isn't this more likely to be one of those specialist fuel air explosive types if anything, rather than even some large conventional HE explosion or fuel oil types?

Quite so. Hilarious given that this whole st storm started when Moscow did exactly what Bluebarge recommended, and offerred Ukraine a very juicy trade deal. 'We' cried foul and threw our weight behind a coup against the government that signed it (you knew what was on the cards as soon as the 'elected government of Ukraine' became the 'Yanukovych regime' . . . )
A juicy trade deal on condition they *didn't* also sign up with the EU; I doubt the EU bilateral agreement included any exclusivity clauses. It also failed to address any of the ongoing stagnation in the Ukraine economy as it was, surprise surprise, focussed mostly on subsidising lossmaking quasi-state enterprises in the Donbass and lining the pockets of Yanukovich's cronies. Any more clue as to why there were hundreds of thousands protesting in Maidan square? It probably wasn't because the CIA bribed them to be there.

The flash would have crisped your retinas if it was nuclear.

Any truth to this I wonder, satellite imagery of the 9/11 attacks:

Probably Russia's version of the daily mash.

If the web address has .ru at the end of it, you can more or less safely discard it wink

Venezuela, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan and now Ukraine. These are all countries post cold war that the USA has either tried to force the change of government through covert means or have overtly violently overthrown governments.
Or consider Kosovo - a state hewn by overwhelming force from within the internationally recognised borders of the sovereign Republic of Yugoslavia, with a prolonged bombing campaign that included numerous civilian targets. Compare and contrast with the near bloodless succession of Crimea from Ukraine . . .
Kosovo = The good guys.

Crimea = The bad guys.

Remember what the BBC, CNN etc. Have told you
Ah yes Kosovo... the 51st state of the USA.

Meanwhile in Chechnya, Dagestan, Abhazia, South Ossetia, Crimea, Donbas...

Even the Russian who organised the so called "referendum" in Crimea admits was a farce

Yes. It was/is all quite transparent. Taking a page from the old CIA playbook in Guatamala, Cuba, Venezuela or any other number of countless countries where these tactics have been employed.

Instead of United Fruit now we have Hunter Biden and Burisma. hehe

Howdy, Scherzkeks. I'm surprised you find time to peddle this nonsense what with roping steers on the ranch, breaking in that stallion for the rodeo, and meeting up with the other hands for some beers and borscht biggrin

No, I'm happy to stick with the same topic, I'm just yanking your chain over your claims to be an American.

The argument you and Octoposse are espousing has already been demolished above, but you chose to ignore all the intervening posts in favour of repeating the lie, for which there is no credible foundation. Pretty standard Soviet tactic, that.

Yes, on planet fruit loop I am Russian and the CIA does not engage in covert regime change.

Dark Ages America has a wonderful, easily digestable chapter on this, should you ever leave the bubble.

Chechneya - Islamic fundamentalists attempting violent succession from Russia In the break up of the Soviet Union. What nation would allow that to ferment on their border? Grozny was treated to the full Fallujah treatment.

South Ossetia - Georgia believing they have the backing of NATO, including training and weapons supplied by USA and Israel, attempt a sneaky land grab, assuming Russia would back down because of the NATO connection. The Russians react with the expected lack of restraint.

Shall we discuss the stable democratic successes of Venezuela, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan etc. None of which border the USA.

It does raise an interesting question; would Putin's desire to fk with the EU and NATO stretch to adopting Greece as another basket case vassal state? Would the Greeks bite if it was offered?

Well they're already a vassal state to the E.U so nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Looks like that explosion was near the chemical factory but didn't damage it.
A big crater is in what was a wooded area a mile or so away from the plant.

An ammo or fuel dump going up perhaps?
