The burning of the two potato theives is worse they take ages to go. There is however one redeeming feature of it, the guy who pours the petrol over them goes up in flames too.

You can see him run off around the corner in a ball of flames. I imagine he died very, very slowly.
Just watched that. Amazing what the human body can handle. You'd think that they would pass out fairly quick from the pain

Very harsh for stealing a few potatoes
Is very sad.
When you see that and liston to a lot of the other stories of what goes on within the continent, I'm afraid I really do fall down on the side of the argument that says sending money (and arms for that matter) will only make the problems worse. Fundamental things a totally FUBARRED out there.
i'm with you there, lock the doors, wait a couple of hundred years for them to develop half a brain and MAYBE try again. education, not money is what africa needs, and a will to help themselves.
I remember Africans suggesting this thirty odd years back and being lambasted by the 'loikes' of Geldoff. rolleyes

Watching something like that from behind the safety of your computer is quite different to being right there when it happens.

I'd not wish that experience on someone. I'm pretty sure the few things I experienced while growing up in South Africa have fked me up more than what I care to realise.

i don't doubt that for a moment. Everyone knows it happens, i can't see how looking at it achieves anything productive.
