British man beats German tourist to death.
Discussion
Clearly a big difference between the legal and moral position here. I see the DM now quote a local as saying the German was kicked and the English guy looks like a kickboxer. Combat fighting, Street Fighting and self protection are 3 very different things. When out with wife and 3 kids, it must always be self protection. The correct thing to do is approach the guy ( cautiously, maybe weapons etc), call the police and make everyone aware of the issue ( witnesses) and wait for Police, if guy tries to leave then restrain/stop with reasonable force( a movable feast)
To punch and/or kick someone and then leave, bad move and amateur. The first thing police see is a man hurt and another who left the scene.
As Geoff Thompson often says, these are life changing events certainly for 1 guy but most likely for both.

Firstly it's 'suspected peado'. People have been found innocent .
Secondly, killing someone is a bit naughty, regardless of what might have happened first. If he's found guilty then whatever befalls him is of his own making.
no,not suspected at all. the man was found in possession of child porn . possession of child porn equals paedo in my book. whether he had been prosecuted for it to earn an "official paedo" title matters not .Secondly, killing someone is a bit naughty, regardless of what might have happened first. If he's found guilty then whatever befalls him is of his own making.

Do you think that's going to be the outcome in this case?

So a bloke is caught filming a young girl on his iPad. The father walks over and demands he stops to which the bloke refuses.
Father smashes the ipad on the floor and punches the bloke once in the face and he dies.
Turns out the bloke fliming was under investigation for possesing child porn.
While I understand it is against the law to punch someone, I am sure many people wouldn't be able to control their anger in this situation. What a cataclysmic course of events.
Absolutely this!!!Father smashes the ipad on the floor and punches the bloke once in the face and he dies.

I suspect every single member on here has either hit somebody or been hit but you wouldn't expect to either kill somebody or be killed. The fact that this guy was a dirty disgusting pervert means I have zero sympathy for him at all & I can only hope that the judge see's sense & goes lightly on the other guy.

So it appears that chap take exception to Ze German taking pictures of his daughter, grabs iPad (presumably to erase them) and then scrolls through and finds child pornography on there in addition to the pics of his daughter.
He goes mental and smashes the guy.
Seems about the size of it.He goes mental and smashes the guy.

Roid rage?
Wouldn't take roids for me to get the rage in the same situation. I'm no badass but the iPad would end up fked and no mistake. As to anything else, I'd probably leave it to the law. After destroying the evidence in a rage, obvs.hornetrider said:

Some of them are still in jail.
You really do have to think before you throw a punch.

pretty reasoned response to some creepy bugger videoing your kids.
Not "reasoned" at all. The "reasoned" response is to call the police and let them deal with it. This bloke is unlikely to be dealt with leniently for dishing out his own rambo-style justice - the courts don't like that at all - here or in Spain. So, kid grows up with Daddy in prison. Hardly a great exercise of brainpower.Bluebarge said:

the problem is that when it comes to your kids reasoned goes right out the window, especially when it comes to noncesSoov535 said:
Bloke has just been unlucky here. If he'd clumped the fella and he'd got up with a bsuted jaw then it wouldn't have gone any further.

And on the other hand, there's scumbags who get really light sentences for what is effectively murder.Used to get clients like this up on murder charges from one punch. Victim falls over and smashes head on pavement and dies. Some of them are still in jail.

So if the thin skull rule applies there, he's fked. If not, couldn't he just say that he was under duress believing his daughter was under the threat of harm (kidnapping) and he acted accordingly.
He could say he acted in the heat of the moment (which is undoubtedly true) but not sure there is anything to suggest kidnapping.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
