It a type of hat, I can't see why it should be banned.
If I wanted to wear sunglasses, a hat, and a surgical mask then I should be able to. Its your problem if you don't like it.
I take it you struggle to interact in the real world? If I wanted to wear sunglasses, a hat, and a surgical mask then I should be able to. Its your problem if you don't like it.

I think the veil gives an assumption of mistrust. It's like the veil wearer thinks that she is somehow above the westerners setting their kaffir eyes upon her. This is not-helping integration and hampers relations. As the poster above said about the near collision in the supermarket aisle, how the fk is that good for us as a society.
If it was someone unveiled you'd apologise, both would smile, perhaps say 'No, my fault', laugh about it and feel good about the interaction.

As an aside - what kind of religion does this kind of stuff?
Orthodox Jews: blokes wear long black coats, beards, skull cap & wide brimmed hats over, even in mid summer. Their wives either have their heads covered or wear wigs, & are covered head to toe. Quite funny to see in mid summer in Jerusalem - they must be absolutely sweltering!! Happens all over North London also....johnfm said:

Interesting article. Seems to ring true as I also read recently that the R8 "eye widening" advert got banned on the back of just one single person complaining. Madness.https://medium.com/@nntaleb/the-most-intolerant-wi...

TX.
my personal opinion is that we should start from the ground up and by that I mean the banning of any form of faith school.
Schools are not places that should be allowed to indoctrinate any child into any form of religion through brainwashing, which is effectively what all faith schools are guilty of be it Muslim, Jewish, catholic etc.

personally i am happy that people should be able to dress how they like, including covering their face etc.
however the caveat on that is that they (anyone who uses a face covering, helmet, balaclava, burka etc) will need to remove it in certain places and situations for security, banks, airports etc, and not kick up a fuss about it and play the discrimination card when asked.
if i rode a motor bike, i'd have no issues removing my helmet if i went into a bank.

- we may have an issue with the weirdos with tights on their heads (bank robbers ).
