Labour win.
UKIP running out of reasons to exist and the Tories doing their best to murder the NHS. Dem Libs are still a bit too "meh".
Win for Labour.
Yet apparently Tories are trusted with the NHS more than Labour... you really are a fool...still back to school in the morning for some.UKIP running out of reasons to exist and the Tories doing their best to murder the NHS. Dem Libs are still a bit too "meh".
Win for Labour.
Visited my GP last June. After 2 hospital specialist cancellations due to staff shortages I'm still waiting and not getting any better. April if I'm lucky.
There is a place in Switzerland that can help if it all gets to much.....PM me if you need their number as I have help a few Remainers out recently.

Stickyfinger does seem to be rather special, doesn't he?
As a born & bred Stokey who moved away but still visits 3-4 times a year it's amazing to see the difference in Stoke since the mid 90's when it was a 90% labour voting city. It's become one the "multicultural" catchment areas with the pre-existing Asian community being massively increased along with the new communities of Eastern Europeans and other "war-torn" immigrants.
So while the general feel of the city is UKIP (slightly BNP in some areas), which is how I voted in the poll above, the increased number of migrants will probably increase the Labour vote slightly so it's difficult to call.
Also remember that the vast majority of the people who have lived there since birth are now slowly being outnumbered by those who have been enticed by Stokes rejuvenation as the Council try to bring in new "blood" by creating a catchment area for people working in Manchester/Birmingham so the place has had millions spent on it. Council estates are still dog poop rough though with Abbey "Scabby" Hulton and Bentilee (my home) needing nuking from orbit to cure it's social issues

It will be interesting to see if UKIP have the balls to put up Paul Nuttall or Farage as their candidate as I suspect doing that would give them enough media coverage to be in with a serious shout. If they put forward some loony local counsellor then I can't see it happening.
I can't see the Lib Dems going well in such a Brexity seat... and does anyone else think Tim Farron comes across just as weird as Ed Miliband and barely more competent than Corbyn? I mean I can't envisage him managing a major role in government like Nick Clegg did.
My instinct is Labour will just about hang on.

I have to say I hope Labour lose and Corbyn goes because that, rather than hanging on to see how polls are doing 6 months before the next elecion.
They need someone now.
I kinda hope Labour win because in the medium term I'd like to see at least one of the top two parties replaced. They need someone now.

Who, though?They need someone now.
Labour probably will win it but Corbyn or not they still face the same problem. They've lost old Labour voters in the north and New Labour voters in the south and anything they do to attract one lot will repel the other lot.
Blair quite skillfully built that coalition but like everything Blair it was always doomed to turn to crap after a while, and Blair himself was well clear by the time it did.

Not really, and from that survey posted earlier it would appear that more voters are worried about Labour running the NHS rather than the Tories. Then again this is Stoke we are talking about... JawKnee said:

if "meh" = irrelevant then I agree (especially in Stoke) JawKnee said:

Yes, and I think it might be a rather better result than some would imagine. I think the majority will fall, but it will still be in 4 digits. FN2TypeR said:

Exactly, May is hardly setting the world on fire.
You say that like it's a bad thing , Blair helped set the middle east on fire that was good was it ???Give the government something to do that keeps them busy and stops them meddling in the affairs of other countries - not much good comes from that.
