Oh dear!

Watching News at 10, there was a subtitled conversation. Went along the lines, Obama saying all the people he had met today, including Chinese, Russians and David Cameron. D of E then said "Can you tell the difference between them?"

Ooops hehe

I wonder if the met would dare to "speak" to the Duke about this?

You gotta love him really; I can't believe anyone is ever truly offended by anything he says.

I found Mrs Obama to be more offensive than the Duke. One does NOT put one's arm round the Queen. She has been in a position of responsibility for half a century and is not a little old lady that needs patronising by some jumped up newbie.

Nah he's just a man of his time and circumstance grounded in the 1930's. Funny though.

Blimey. Do you have pictures of the Royals all over your house?

If Michelle Obama was being friendly good on her.

I am reminded of Princess Anne's disgusting display of snobbery when she fell and a nice bloke tried to help her up.

They aren't better than you or me you know. You don't have to touch your forelock anymore...

My point was Mrs. Obama's lack of humility and overbearing/fake demeanour, breaking protocol. There's more to being a first lady than smiles, waves and phoney gestures.

You read all that from a few seconds of footage on the news?

Wow!

She seems to be doing a grand job in the US so far, a real breath of fresh air in Washington. Pretty down to earth I'd say.

I really can't see where you get your problem with her from? Is it cos she black?

But you don't hug the Queen. That's pretty well known, and normally respected, protocol. It was cringeworthy.
