Come the next general election, isn't it fair to say that the SNP will lose a lot unless AS can be persuaded to shut up and back off?
If anything, the SNPs vote will increase the number of MSPs and MPs they currently have. It's fair to say that Liebour are now almost as toxic in Scotland as the Tories ever were. Even the Libdems's jacket's on a shooglie peg. I believe the vote may even be referred to the Court of Sessions due to various incidences of what's been claimed as mistakes. So it's sheer incompetence, or just plain old dishonesty at play again. The question is whether to look on the occurrences with charitable eyes, or with less than charitable ones.

The referendum result is also not going to get referred to any court & even if it did by some ass-wipe of a Nationalist nutcase, whatever case was being brought would be dismissed in 30 seconds flat. If you think anyone would believe there were over a quarter of a million "mistakes" you are barmier than I thought possible.
Its done. its over, you're staying in the UK. Any other notion is illegal , delusional bullst.
Get used to it.

I believe the petition is around the 15/16,000 mark just now - similar figures as the SNPs new members - so not just some solitary, shouty, nutcase......the numbers of petition signees is growing by the hour. There should be plenty of time to get the petition in - seeing as there's 6 or 8 weeks to submit any petition by.The referendum result is also not going to get referred to any court & even if it did by some ass-wipe of a Nationalist nutcase, whatever case was being brought would be dismissed in 30 seconds flat. The best thing for Scotland in the union for the future is for Scots to cast the SNP in the bin.
I am fairly certain it will be labour being cast aside. I am fairly certain they'll lose a fair number of seats next year. And will suffer further in holyrood. I think many Labour elected representatives were pro independence and decided to toe the party line. Joanne lamont appeared to be taking a backseat in the run up to the referendum oddly. Ruth Davidson was far more vocal and working for better together more, which I found odd considering her parties reputation in Scotland.

I guess some may see it as just another layer of unnecessary bureaucracy.
I voted against devolution at the time as I predicted it would just be League Division 2 politics - where all the second-raters who couldn't win a Westminster seat would end up.

Nah, we managed to have festival type atmospheres at all the yes events....it was only when the "winners" of the referendum showed up at George Sq in Glasgow that the trouble started - thankfully, the police did a sterling job of nicking the Nazi saluting miscreants....... and to think that some of the usual mugs on here tried to paint yes supporters as the extremists. Nope, when the lying No campaign fail to deliver, it's very likely that the SNP in consort with the other pro-independence parties will take the majority of Scottish seats. There are no safe Unionist seats in Scotland.

This referendum was pretty clear. The Yes campaign put forwards what they wanted to change to and the people of Scotland said No, fairly decisively. There are no safe Unionist seats in Scotland.
Whether you like it or not the people of Scotland where asked whether they wanted to leave the UK and they said No.

I don't see them as mistakes - I was merely being charitable. To be brutally frank, I see them as an affront to democracy. More and more people are speaking out with evidence (clear, photographic evidence) of wrong doing from officials meant to be totally beyond reproach where impartiality is concerned. So why did the YES officials who were there at the time not pick them up?Incompetence or were they under the pay of the English?
Neither looks good for our future

I'd be very interested in understanding how all the Yes officials were fooled. What are the possibilities?Incompetence or were they under the pay of the English?
Neither looks good for our future
1. They were too stupid to see what was happening under their very eyes
2. They were bribed ( all of them)
3. They were threatened (all of them) and are too scared to come forward
4. It didn't happen
In a statement, the chief counting officer, Mary Pitcaithly, said she was:

satisfied that all counts throughout Scotland were properly conducted and scrutinised by thousands of people representing both the Yes Scotland and the Better Together campaigns, as well as international election observers, media and police. None of these people raised any concerns during the verification, counting and adjudication stages.
