I'm still utterly shocked that kids are allowed drugs to delay puberty. I watched BBC Brekfast news for the first time in about 9 months yesterday and lasted 45seconds into the trans section and had to switch it off. Fair enough if people have issues, but there is no way a kid has the emotional capacity to make such a Life changing decision. It's fking dangerous and scary.
How does it work? If it just delays puberty, and once you stop taking the drugs puberty resumes and you develop as normal, then what is the problem?Europa1 said:

I have no direct experience with shemales. However, when you see an accident victim and they've taken skin from one area, and put it in another area, it doesn't behave the same. God knows they try. I can't imagine that somehow this changes just because it's a mangina. After all, quite a bit of R+D goes into skin grafts for e.g burns victims; no way on earth manginoplasty isn't a more "niche" market and therefore less well funded.
Ignorance topped with ignorance and slurs ; yet you still feel able to pass an expert opinion on it ... and this ladies and gentlemen is why PH is getting blattered ...

which is why the decision to treat is made after extensive counselling and multiple specialist medicla opinions ... Given the alternative is self harm and a vastly increased risk of suicide ...
Once again ignorance topped with ignorance, thankfully no slurs
I think brabusmog also needs to a bit of research in the law as it covers consent for medical treatment in young people if he feels the need to profess yet another PH professional opinion.

I understand that, but even a fully developed 16 year old is too young to make this kind of life altering decision, so I see no point in giving a child the power to delay their puberty.
Fortunately the collective opinion of health professionals, social care professionals and education professions says otherwise 16 year olds are allowed to operate dangerous machinery asnd drive / ride various classes of motor vehicle
16 year olds are allowed ot make life changing educational / career decisions ( including joining the forces)
those under 16 are allowed to take control of their reproductive health including hormonal therapies
care to justify why your opinion is more 'correct' than the collective weight of health, social care and education professionals backed by the law ...

these would be similar medical professionals who thought that electroshock treatment or lobotomising was 'the right thing to do' half a century ago, or those who thought that leeches or cupping or blood-letting or, or , or even further back?
So you won't be going to hospital if you ever develop serious health issues?IainT said:

Yes because they're the only people who could conceivably have reservations about using hormones to delay puberty in children in case they decide they want a sex change, in the face of "the experts. "

In which world is this not a bigoted comment from the Pistonheads Champion of the Oppressed?BrabusMog said:

My understanding is that delaying puberty is one of the relatively safe and completely reversible things they can do........ helps distinguish between those that are genuinely trans and those 'just' going through a phase. The issue is once puberty has taken place it is a lot more difficult to reverse the effects. Better to delay it for a short time surely? OK kids get a say in this but the ultimate decision is going to come down to the doctors and psychologists involved in their care.
Of course nothing is without risk completely but all these things are weighed up. I mean if the choice to delay puberty could literally be a life saver if the changes involved in puberty are extremely distressing and trigger suicidal thoughts and so on. (MH issues and suicide rates are very high in this group for obvious reasons).

Probably without the wholly unnecessary insulting language and tone. But that's very much your MO, isn't it?
To be a true SJW, you have to use long, made up words that sound vaguely scientific at all times. This way, when you vaguely cite "medical experts", you can do so without considering that there isn't consensus. If challenged at all, you can simply claim anyone with the opposite opinion only holds that position because they are an ignorant bigot. Some Gump said:
