Brilliant!
Agreed. A very good read. Made me smile...
Not quite sure I'd describe Leyton Orient as a "prominent London team" though!

Bets on Jack Warner being found dead by suicide or natural causes before the year is out.

You didn't include radiation poisoning?

He'd also be well advised to avoid second-storey rooms with a balcony and pointy iron railings below, just in case he gets gravity poisoning.

My money is on FIFA bribing Chuck Blazer to fall on him.

Crikey, its getting warm (From the Gruanaid)

"Russia’s sports minister Vitaly Mutko, quoted by the RIA agency, has again stated: “There is no risk to Russia hosting the World Cup.” Mutko earlier called Sepp Blatter’s pre-resignation “a courageous decision with love for Fifa”, adding: “Now it’s important to offer the football world a single leader who will gain universal support and defend Fifa from attacks.”

(In 2010 Mutko attacked the English press for alleging corruption in Russian sport, days before a Russian federal audit chamber report on spending at his ministry alleged he had claimed expenses for 97 breakfasts eaten during a 20-day trip to Vancouver. Mutko called the report “utter bullst and complete nonsense”.)

Meanwhile, in Australia, federal police are investigating a $500,000 donation made to Jack Warner’s Concacaf during their bidding process."

97 breakfasts? He must look like Chuck Blazer!!

I'm afraid I agree with a previous poster who noted the likelihood of Blatter and his minions ever seeing proper time, if found guilty, will be pretty much zero. Just like Berlusconi etc.

This is what is really wrong with Western society these days IMO.

It didn't take them all long to roll over and become honest for once in their lives. I bet they are all trying to be the first ones to cut deals with the FBI to save their own skins.

It seems Chuck Blazer's evidence has pulled the rug from beneath alot of them. Jack Warner apparently claiming he is in fear for his life??? Really? Trying to get people on his side. Apparently he will fight extradition to the US if needed as he needs to protect his freedom laugh

I think Blatter will escape time, but its known the US take blue collar crimes very seriously so I think if anything has been done on US soil they will look to get time for some people. Just depends on who can cut what deal with the FBI

All of them without shame, all without an ounce of decency or honesty.

Well, that's Russia bang to rights. "Defend FIFA from attacks". Jeez!

Soooo anyway, you know how Sepp has resigned and is being investigated by the FBI for corruption ?
And you know that he is actually at work for the next 4 months until his replacement is decided ?

Well - whats stopping him sitting in front of a shredder for those 4 months ?

True enough, a good point. However, it appears the paper trail is far from being confined to FIFA offices, state police have raided the Venezualen FA offices, after the arrest of their man in Zurich, pretty sure other FA's have been raided as well.

As Jenner said, it's not a cabinet anymore, it's a server. All those hardrives, all those transactions, all that data. Sepp would have to have a really big magnet. biggrin
