That map can't possibly be right.
It isn't. Compare the colours of (for example) Sweden and Finland. It's bks.

Genuinely fascinating and I am also shocked. I can see how they would correlate -it makes complete sense , I am just gobsmacked that we are one of the least ethnically diverse countries on the planet so I had assumed originally that JL had got it arse-about face.
20% of the country lives in one of the most diverse places on earth.

No-one notices the tiny numbers of brown people outside the M25 until the Mail tells them they are raping and eating your children and house prices.

Actually this is spot on. I had noticed that before but you forget it on a daily basis when you are one of those 20%.
I'd be really curious to see how many of the strongly anti-immigration people are outside the diverse areas.

I would have thought the opposite. We have one of the least homogenous societies with possibly the most generous welfare state in the world haven't we? Or is that what you meant?
We have become rapidly less homogenous since 1997 and will continue to do so.

Support for generous welfare benefits has also been falling over that period, even among Labour supporters.

Per the Independent in 1987, around 73 per cent of the party’s supporters agreed that the Government should spend more on welfare benefits for poor families, compared with just 36 per cent in 2011.

Current levels of welfare spending are not supported by the public and are likely to change if parties reflect their views.

Its because of the overly generous disposal of tax payers funds these immigrants head straight to the Island.France and Germany keep telling the yUK exactly that-why do most ignore the two mentioned countries?
The UK has created a monster it now cannot control. Its not todaythat counts, its five or ten years time, when YOUR children inherit the mistakes of twenty years ago.
