That 'even' I'm lovin' it.
I don't disagree with everything Nick said, the only point I raised was A & E because at the time it wasn't clear what approach was being advocated there. It has since been clarified.
TBH turbo I don't think there are many that would advocate that the NHS doesn't need route and branch change. I don't disagree with everything Nick said, the only point I raised was A & E because at the time it wasn't clear what approach was being advocated there. It has since been clarified.
Aneurin Bevin accepted to make the NHS work he had to stuff their mouths with gold, the JDs are not demanding that.

The junior doctors are a bunch of self serving, greedy individuals, who are a disgrace to their profession.
Putting money before the care of their patients. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath?
Fortunately, the striking junior doctors are in a minority. Let's hope this minority of militant, unionised self centred idiots get their cummupance.
About how I see it. Watching those idiots hopping up and down with placards really does make you wonder who is just taking up being doctors in recent times. I really did expect better of a profession I thought better of. Putting money before the care of their patients. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath?

Other just think - another Grade A and some people could have been a vet
A least the vets aren't constantly whining like the fking junior doctors.
The evidence for any polly parrot interested in this humorous aside is the number of med schools totalling 30+ and the number of vet schools at about half a dozen, plus the law of supply and demand, and the widespread awareness of grade offers to get in to both.
We appear to have a Dixy sense of humour failure...not to worry, there’s bound to be a doctor in the house with a cure for that. If not, try a vet

Wrong on both counts, shame 2 negatives don't make a positive.
Never heard of a vets strike.Wrong on both counts, shame 2 negatives don't make a positive.
As for there being lots of people wanting to take the doctors place, that's the point, unlike keyboard warriors, it takes a lot of skill and training and dedication. you only seem to have the dedication and a potty mouth.

Further evidence that Hunt is a clueless moron.

They're still here? Have the Tory government stopped flights to Australia?
Junior doctors contracts run from August to August so this will come in to effect then, so your comment is a tad premature. The figures then may be more informative but a lot of JDs will just suck it up for now, they will probably sit on their resentment, but at some stage in the future it will cause a major problem. Hunt wont care by then but the country will suffer for something a myopic MP screwed up.anonymous said:

As you have either not read or not understood what has been written in the last 87 pages, trying again to explain to you would require breaking one of Einsteins statements. But just for the hell of it I shall try one, why is it safe for a Junior Doctor to work more hours in 1 week than a truck driver is safe to work in 2 weeks. They are happy to work any time on any day, just not all the hours in every day without propper rest.

here are plenty of workers whose hours exceed truckers and by some degree.
If you need to know why truckers have limited hours, think about what happens when they fall asleep at work and crash. These sort of consequences do not happen with JDs, much as you might like to think they do it is a poor comparison.
Quite right, you don't need to be wide awake to look down a microscope and decide whether it is a cancer cell or not, or if the child has meningitis or flu, or if any of the blood tests tell you anything, or if the x-ray says there is a crack in that vertebrae or has that person got a detached retina and 968 needs to see them now, or, or ....If you need to know why truckers have limited hours, think about what happens when they fall asleep at work and crash. These sort of consequences do not happen with JDs, much as you might like to think they do it is a poor comparison.

If it's in turmoil what's the solution? More money isn't going to solve it, so what's the answer?
this thread is about the dispute between JDs and Hunt, there are countless threads about the NHS, this is one http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=157...If you think the solution is making junior doctors an endangered species in this country, post here
